by James Buchanan.
For all the Americans, who are not thrilled with the idea of Barack Obama granting an Amnesty to 20 million illegal aliens and running up another six trillion or more in National Debt, that your great-grandchildren will be burdened with, you can express your dissatisfaction by signing a secession petition for your state.
Much to the embarrassment of the Obama regime, over 700,000 Americans have already signed secession petitions in less than a week after the first petition was filed, and petitions have been started in all 50 states!! Seven states have already gotten the required 25,000 votes to qualify their petition for a White House review.
There are two types of petitions: Ones that simply ask that their state be allowed to secede and other petitions which ask that their state be allowed to vote on whether or not they be allowed to secede. The best course of action is to ask that your state be allowed to vote on secession, that way if Obama arbitrarily dismisses the petition, he’s acting like a tyrant, not allowing people to vote on controlling their own destiny.
An article from the Examiner reports “Petitions to secede from the Union are in full force since President Obama was re-elected on Nov. 6. A few states have already reached the 25,000 within 30 days threshold that is required by the White House’s ‘We the People’ petition site….”
“If a petition meets the signature threshold, it will be reviewed by the Administration and we will issue a response.”
“In all 700,000 online signatures have been recorded in total for the petition to secede the United States. This is a huge statement on behalf of the American people after an election reflecting how divided the country is on the current governing policies.”
Voting for secession is effectively a “no confidence” vote against the Obama regime. The more votes for secession, the more of an embarrassment for Obama.
What if Obama let Oregon, Arizona, Alaska and the Southern states vote on this and a majority of voters in each of those states chose secession? It would be similar to the the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The Southern states wanted to secede from the US 151 years ago when another extremely unpopular president, who did not represent their interests, was forced upon them. A brutal war of aggression was waged by the federal government against the Southern states to settle that dispute.
Will Americans have any more freedom to choose their destiny today than they did 151 years ago? We’ll find out if and when Obama responds to these petitions.
