THEY WERE YOUNG. Many of them were deeply, even fanatically religious. They came from a foreign country, with a vastly different culture. They were a generation or less removed from their homelands. Where they came from — and in their enclaves in the new land — they had been taught to hate the government and the policies of that land; hate them with a burning hatred, as if they were the ultimate evil on earth and caused all the other evils. And so they struck. They used high technology and explosives to wreak havoc and destruction on the people of the land, some of them ending their own lives in the process. (more…)
