Mexican Army On U.S. SoilNO BORDER, NO ORDER, NO NATION

By Frosty Wooldridge
July 31st, 2006

Thousands of readers of this column chastise me for not addressing what’s really happening to America. They accuse me of dancing around the elephant in the kitchen. They want me to spell it out, to expose it, to say it like it really is. Okay, here is what is happening to our country.

We’re being flooded with millions of Third World immigrants both legal and illegal. How many? Since 1965, 106 million people added to our nation, mostly by immigration from overloaded countries like China, India, Mexico and Africa. In effect, we’re paying for their mistakes. Worse, we did it to ourselves. Or, should I say, men like Teddy Kennedy with his 1965 Immigration Reform Act and other lawmakers doomed our country. We aided and abetted the destruction of our country by standing quietly on the sidelines doing nothing.

Today, we add millions from countries like Mexico and the Middle East with incoming immigrants that don’t like us. Why? Because the capitalistic engine requires unending growth, production of goods, endless markets and massive consumption! For what? Profits! Today, corporations led by money-men like former Ken Lay, now deceased, of Enron require riches beyond yours and my imagination. Did Lay show any regard for his employees? He screwed thousands of them out of millions. He and thousands of CEOs and company presidents crave money, which gives them power, which gives them prestige. Someone always guns for the crown of richest man in the world. How does he get there? He needs millions of consumers to spend their money on his products! Population growth creates wealth for a few at the top. (….Full Article Here)

Zionists destroy the pristine beaches of Beirut as oil polutes over 80 kilometers of Mediterranean coastlineOil Spill from IAF Bombing Pollutes Pristine Coastline

July 30th, 2006

THE UN Environment Program (UNEP) today expressed “grave concern” over the environmental crisis unfolding off the Lebanese coast, where thousands of tonnes of fuel are gushing into the sea after Israeli aircraft bombed a power plant.

The Nairobi-based UNEP said the oil slick, caused by the destruction of the Jiyyeh power utility 30 km south of Beirut, is now reported to be affecting up to 80 km of the Lebanese coastline and threatening that of Syria, too.

“The government of Lebanon has requested international assistance from the United Nations and we stand ready to do all we can as soon as it is possible to carry out this urgent work,” UNEP executive director Achim Steiner said.

“We share the Lebanese authorities concerns over the impact on coastal communities who are being affected by an environmental tragedy which is rapidly taking on a national but also a regional dimension.

“We must also be concerned about the short- and long-term impacts on the marine environment, including the biodiversity upon which so many people depend for their livelihoods and living via tourism and fishing,” he added. (more…)

FOX - the more you watch, the less you knowMurdoch Set to Back Blair - for a Place in His Boardroom

By Andrew Grice
July 29th, 2006

The media magnate Rupert Murdoch is expected to offer Tony Blair a senior role in his News Corporation empire when he stands down as Prime Minister.

Allies of Mr Blair insist he has made no decisions about his plans when he leaves Downing Street — almost certainly next year. But some friends say a seat on the board of News Corp could tempt the outgoing Prime Minister, as it would dovetail neatly with the lucrative United States lecture circuit. Mr Blair’s popularity at home may be waning, but he remains big box office in America. His close relationship with Mr Murdoch will be highlighted tomorrow when he addresses the annual gathering of News Corp’s executives and senior journalists from around the world.

After meeting President George Bush at the White House yesterday, Mr Blair flew on to California where, amid the stunning scenery at Pebble Beach, 130 miles south of San Francisco, he will speak about “leadership in the modern world”. (….Full Article)

Invasion Six Plus Four Equals One Tenuous Existence

By Sam Quinones
July 28th, 2006

An illegal immigrant couple with six children were already living in poverty. Then the quadruplets arrived. They’re still in a daze.

With two teenage daughters at home and triplets still in diapers, Angela Magdaleno’s family overflowed from a one-bedroom apartment in South Los Angeles that they strained to afford.

Diapers had to be changed 15 times a day, feedings held every three hours. One triplet, 3-year-old Alfredo Jr., needed special attention because he was born with liquid on his brain and partially paralyzed.

Even simple events — like going to the store — required complex orchestration.

And that was before the quadruplets arrived.

On July 6, Magdaleno gave birth to two boys and two girls, drawing national media attention as a bewildered mother of 10 (with nine living at home). Now, she and her husband, Alfredo Anzaldo, 44, must figure out how to provide for everyone on Anzaldo’s maximum pay of $400 a week as a carpet installer. (….Full Article)

Blasted Beirut: A view of Israeli airstrike destruction, rebuilding Lebanon’s infrastructure 'could cost billions'Disaster In The Making

By Charley Reese
July 28th, 2006

You can observe three important things simultaneously in the Middle East: One, Israel’s total disregard for the lives and property of the Arab people; two, the effectiveness of the Israeli propaganda machine; and three, the utterly craven support for Israel by the U.S. government.

A fourth thing, if you can stand to watch television news, is how casually the talking faces dispense falsehoods because of their ignorance, which is understandable. Middle East history is too complex for a fly-in TV star to avoid the trap of failing to separate fact from propaganda. (more…)

Ancient Prayer Book Found in Bog

Sam Jones and agencies
Wednesday July 26, 2006

Irish archaeologists are celebrating the discovery of their own Dead Sea scrolls after a bulldozer unearthed fragments of a psalter that may have lain in a bog for more than 1,000 years. The book of psalms was found last Thursday when an engineer excavating bogland in the midlands noticed a bundle near his digger’s scoop. It turned out to be the animal skin pages of an early Christian psalter that appears to date back as far as AD800. One psalm - number 89 - was still legible.

The National Museum of Ireland hailed the discovery as the “Irish equivalent to the Dead Sea scrolls” and the “greatest find ever from a European bog”. The Dead Sea scrolls, found in the mid-20th century, contain some of the earliest known surviving biblical documents.

Specialists at the museum said it was impossible to know how the manuscript ended up in the bog, but believe it may have been lost in transit or dumped after a Viking raid, possibly 1,000 to 1,200 years ago. (….Full Article)

IDF soldier is rushed off the battlefield as Hezbollah turns the tables on the Israelis -- Bint Jbail, 7/26/06 (Photo: Getty Image)Smoke signals from the battle of Bint Jbeil send a warning to Israel

By Robert Fisk

06/27/06 “The Independent” — Qlaya, Southern Lebanon — Is it possible - is it conceivable - that Israel is losing its war in Lebanon?

From this hill village in the south of the country, I am watching the clouds of brown and black smoke rising from its latest disaster in the Lebanese town of Bint Jbeil: up to 13 Israeli soldiers dead, and others surrounded, after a devastating ambush by Hizbollah guerrillas in what was supposed to be a successful Israeli military advance against a “terrorist centre”.

To my left smoke rises too, over the town of Khiam, where a smashed United Nations outpost remains the only memorial to the four UN soldiers - most of them decapitated by an American-made missile on Tuesday - killed by the Israeli air force.

Indian soldiers of the UN army in southern Lebanon, visibly moved by the horror of bringing their Canadian, Fijian, Chinese and Austrian comrades back in at least 20 pieces from the clearly marked UN post next to Khiam prison, left their remains at Marjayoun hospital yesterday.

In past years, I have spent hours with their comrades in this UN position, which is clearly marked in white and blue paint, with the UN’s pale blue flag opposite the Israeli frontier. Their duty was to report on all they saw: the ruthless Hizbollah missile fire out of Khiam and the brutal Israeli response against the civilians of Lebanon. (….Full Article)

Israel blasts U.N. shelter near Khiam (Photo: Reuters) Israelis Slaughter U.N. Observers

By Kurt Nimmo
July 25th, 2006

After Israel bombed a U.N. shelter near Khiam, Lebanon, killing four observers, Daniel Ayalon, Israeli ambassador to the United States, had the audacity to tell Wolf Blizter of CNN he expects an apology from U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan for complaining.

Of course, this is nothing new, as the Israelis routinely attack the United Nations and little if anything comes of such murderous crimes against humanity.

For instance, on April 18, 1996, in the Lebanese village of Qana, during Israel’s “Operation Grapes of Wrath” invasion, the IOF killed 106 Lebanese refugees seeking protection at a Fijian UNIFIL compound. As usual, the Israeli government expressed regret, but words are cheap, especially considering the fact the IOF consistently issues such meaningless apologies after slaughtering innocents. The Zionist state added insult to injury, or rather mass murder, by not paying compensation to the victims.

Two Ambulances fired on says Red CrossIsraeli Missiles Rip Into Medics’ Esprit de Corps

By Megan K. Stack
Times Staff Writer

07/25/06 “Los Angeles Times” — TYRE, Lebanon — In the burning haze of the missile strike, Qasim Chaalan thought he had died. But piece by piece, he noticed that he was still there, inside the ambulance. He could still feel his body. He opened his eyes, and discovered he could see.

He and the other medics were lucky: They had survived the blow of an Israeli missile. Dazed and slow, one of the men fumbled for the radio and began, “We have an accident…. ” He didn’t finish the sentence. A second missile smashed with a roar into the ambulance behind them.

Six Red Cross volunteers were wounded in the Sunday attack, and the injured family they were ferrying to safety suffered fresh agonies. A middle-age man lost his leg from the knee down. His mother was partially paralyzed. A little boy’s head was hammered by shrapnel.

Perhaps most dangerous of all, the attack blunted the zeal of the band of gonzo ambulance drivers who have doggedly plugged away as Red Cross volunteers. Young men and women with easy grins and a breezy disregard for their own safety, they have remained as the last visible strand of social structure intact after days of Israeli bombardment. Photo: Israel using internationally banned weapons against civilians - 1993Lebanese President Accuses Israel of Using White Phosphorus Bombs in Lebanon

Amy Goodman/Dahr Jamail
Tuesday, July 25th, 2006

AMY GOODMAN: While Human Rights Watch is accusing Israel of using cluster bombs, the Lebanese president Emile Lahoud says Israel is also using white phosphorus. Lebanese doctors have reported witnessing the effects of white phosphorus on their patients. Independent journalist Dahr Jamail, who exposed how the U.S. used white phosphorus bombs in Iraq, says Israel is using the same tactic in Lebanon. We speak to him in Beirut:

DAHR JAMAIL: Yesterday, I went to the Beirut University Hospital. It’s one of the larger hospitals in Beirut, and I was speaking with the assistant director there. His name is Bilal Masri. And he told me — first off, we were talking about the casualty situation, and then this led into the white phosphorus situation in Southern Lebanon. And first off, he said that they were receiving very many casualties there, mostly from the south, being brought into them by the Red Crescent and Lebanese Red Cross, and that 55% of all the casualties in Beirut, according to Mr. Masri, were children 15 years or younger. America For SalePresident Bush Continues To Sell America To Foreign Interests

By Chuck Baldwin
July 25th, 2006

I previously wrote in this column about President Bush’s attempt to transfer six major U.S. ports to a United Arab Emirates government-owned and operated company. Due to massive public resistance, Congress rose up in stiff opposition, which, temporarily at least, nixed the deal.

I also warned my readers in this column that President Bush was planning to turn nine military facilities (on U.S. soil) over to Dubai. To this, Congress said nothing, and the deal has already gone into effect.

Now we learn that the Bush administration’s attempts to outsource America’s vital assets to foreign interests is expanding rapidly. It seems clear that Bush intends to sacrifice everything from America’s roads and bridges to the ownership of U.S. airlines upon the altar of globalism! (more…)

Human Trafficking’s Profits Spur Horrors
Vicious organizations move thousands of immigrants through Valley every day

By Dennis Wagner
July 23rd, 2006

In the world of human smuggling, metro Phoenix has emerged as an enormous staging area where illegal immigrants are held hostage in apartments, motel rooms or rental homes until relatives pay their fees.

State investigators say it is a $2 billion-a-year, black-market business that drives illegal immigration, spreading corruption and violence through the Valley.

On any given day in the Valley, agents say, thousands of undocumented immigrants are stuffed into drophouses as “coyotes” collect the cash, arrange for transportation and fend off other smugglers who would steal migrant clients for ransom.

There are so many coyotes, estimated at more than 1,000, so many immigrants secreted in drop- houses, that money-transfer stores handle hundreds of millions of dollars a year in smuggling transactions. Friends or family already established in other states wire the payments to Phoenix. (….Full Article)

War on ErrorUS Complicit in Destruction of Lebanon

By Craig Paul Roberts
July 24rd, 2006

There never was any doubt of the Bush Regime’s complicity in Israel’s naked aggression against the Lebanese civilian population. Bush has protected Israel from world condemnation. Bush has blocked those who attempted to bring a stop to Israel’s bombing of residential neighborhoods and civilian infrastructure, and now Bush rushes more bombs for Israel to drop on Lebanon.

On July 22, the New York Times revealed the full extent of the Bush Regime’s participation in the heinous war crimes being inflicted on the Lebanese people:

“The Bush administration is rushing a delivery of precision-guided bombs to Israel, which requested the expedited shipment last week after beginning its air campaign. . . . The decision to quickly ship the weapons to Israel was made with relatively little debate within the Bush administration, the officials said.” [U.S. Speeds Up Bomb Delivery for the Israelis, By David S. Zimbabwe - Down And Down And Down It Goes

By Cathy Buckle
July 22, 2006

Dear Family and Friends,

Zimbabwe’s banks are apparently in trouble and bankers and chartered accountants met recently to talk about what do with all those pesky zeroes that are causing the problem and clogging up their works. It seems that standard computer software is designed to cope with figures in millions and even billions but starts getting confused when having to deal with fifteen digit figures. It’s the trillions that are apparently the problem and these are now part of regular transactions. So a proposal is being made to have three digits dropped from our currency. Instead of a thousand dollars being a thousand dollars, it will be just one dollar and will be called a Kilo Dollar. Perhaps calling it a Killapsed Dollar would be more to the point.

This is the latest example of just how utterly ludicrous our economic situation has become in Zimbabwe - inflation of over a thousand percent, bank transactions in trillions, town budgets in something called quadrillions and simple dollars that aren’t really dollars anymore. (more…)

British Anger at Terror Celebration

By Ned Parker and Stephen Farrell
July 20th, 2006

The commemoration of Israeli bombings that killed 92 people has caused offence

AS ISRAEL wages war against Hezbollah “terrorists” in Lebanon, Britain has protested about the celebration by right-wing Israelis of a Jewish “act of terrorism” against British rule 60 years ago this week.

The rightwingers, including Binyamin Netanyahu, the former Prime Minister, are commemorating the bombing of the King David Hotel in Jerusalem, the headquarters of British rule, that killed 92 people and helped to drive the British from Palestine.

They have erected a plaque outside the restored building, and are holding a two-day seminar with speeches and a tour of the hotel by one of the Jewish resistance fighters involved in the attack.

Simon McDonald, the British Ambassador in Tel Aviv, and John Jenkins, the Consul-General in Jerusalem, have written to the municipality, stating: “We do not think that it is right for an act of terrorism, which led to the loss of many lives, to be commemorated.”

In particular they demanded the removal of the plaque that pays tribute to the Irgun, the Jewish resistance branch headed by Menachem Begin, the future Prime Minister, which carried out the attack on July 22, 1946. (…Full Article)
