TYRE, Lebanon: Carpenters have run out of wood for coffins. The Shame of Being an American

By Paul Craig Roberts
July 22, 2006

Gentle reader, do you know that Israel is engaged in ethnic cleansing in southern Lebanon? Israel has ordered all the villagers to clear out. Israel then destroys their homes and murders the fleeing villagers. That way there is no one to come back and nothing to which to return, making it easier for Israel to grab the territory, just as Israel has been stealing Palestine from the Palestinians.

Do you know that one-third of the Lebanese civilians murdered by Israel’s attacks on civilian residential districts are children? That is the report from Jan Egeland, the emergency relief coordinator for the UN. He says it is impossible for help to reach the wounded and those buried in rubble, because Israeli air strikes have blown up all the bridges and roads. Considering how often (almost always) Israel misses Hizbollah targets and hits civilian ones, one might think that Israeli fire is being guided by US satellites and US military GPS. Don’t be surprised at US complicity. Why would the puppet be any less evil than the puppet master?

Of course, you don’t know these things, because the US print and TV media do not report them.

Because Bush is so proud of himself, you do know that he has blocked every effort to stop the Israeli slaughter of Lebanese civilians. Bush has told the UN “NO.” Bush has told the European Union “NO.” Bush has told the pro-American Lebanese prime minister “NO.” Twice. Bush is very proud of his firmness. He is enjoying Israel’s rampage and wishes he could do the same thing in Iraq.

Sell-out Politicians Applaud the anti-American Invasion of Lebanon

Once again Israel’s outrageous actions have hurt America and once again American politicians are scrambling to betray American interests to the Jewish extremist, fifth column in government and media.

Israel’s terrorist attacks on the small nation of Lebanon already proportionately far exceed the carnage of 911.

The Israeli terrorist bombing of Lebanon murdered or maimed thousands of Lebanese civilians in a war crime of the first magnitude. In addition to the its crimes against humanity, Israel’s actions damage every true American interest in Lebanon and in the entire Mideast.

It must be remembered that Israel has made relentless terrorist attacks against a government and nation that America openly supported!

It is the same nation we worked hard with to secure the withdrawal of Syrian military forces. Lebanon is a nation where 25,000 Americans live and do business. Not only have these American lives and livelihoods been put in danger, there will be billions lost to American business and trade interests. And now, American made bombs wielded by the Israeli terrorists are maiming and killing thousands, destroying airports, roads, bridges, power plants, and entire infrastructure of a country once friendly to the United States, all with the sickening obsequiousnous of George Bush, puppet of Tel Aviv. Such can only increase hatred and cause subsequent terrorism against the people of the United States. (more…)

Israel FirstNo, This Is Not ‘Our War’

By Patrick J. Buchanan
July 21st, 2006

My country has been “torn to shreds,” said Fouad Siniora, the prime minister of Lebanon, as the death toll among his people passed 300 civilian dead, 1,000 wounded, with half a million homeless.

Israel must pay for the “barbaric destruction,” said Siniora.

To the contrary, says columnist Lawrence Kudlow, “Israel is doing the Lord’s work.”

On American TV, former Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu says the ruination of Lebanon is Hezbollah’s doing. But is it Hezbollah that is using U.S.-built F-16s, with precision-guided bombs, and 155-mm artillery pieces to wreak death and devastation on Lebanon?

No, Israel is doing this, with the blessing and without a peep of protest from President Bush. And we wonder why they hate us.

“Today, we are all Israelis!” brayed Ken Mehlman of the Republican National Committee to a gathering of Christians United for Israel.

One wonders if these Christians care about what is happening to our Christian brethren in Lebanon and Gaza, who have had all power cut off by Israeli air strikes, an outlawed form of collective punishment, that has left them with no sanitation, rotting food, impure water, and days without light or electricity in the horrible heat of July. A perilous excursion into the distant past, starting seven whole weeks ago

Israel Palestine Lebanon Hezbollah, Hamas and Israel: Everything You Need To Know

By Alexander Cockburn
July 21st, 2006

As the tv networks give unlimited airtime to Israel’s apologists, the message rolls out that no nation, least of all Israel, can permit bombardment or armed incursion across its borders without retaliation.

The guiding rule in this tsunami of drivel is that the viewers should be denied the slightest access to any historical context, or indeed to anything that happened prior to June 28, which was when the capture of an Israeli soldier and the killing of two others by Hamas hit the headlines, followed soon thereafter by an attack by a unit of Hezbollah’s fighters.

Memory is supposed to stop in its tracks at June 28, 2006.

Let’s go on a brief excursion into pre-history. I’m talking about June 20, 2006, when Israeli aircraft fired at least one missile at a car in an attempted extrajudicial assassination attempt on a road between Jabalya and Gaza City. The missile missed the car. Instead it killed three Palestinian children and wounded 15.

Back we go again to June 13, 2006. Israeli aircraft fired missiles at a van in another attempted extrajudicial assassination. The successive barrages killed nine innocent Palestinians.

Now we’re really in the dark ages, reaching far, far back to June 9, 2006, when Israel shelled a beach in Beit Lahiya killing 8 civilians and injuring 32.

That’s just a brief trip down Memory Lane, and we trip over the bodies of twenty dead and forty-seven wounded, all of them Palestinians, most of them women and children. (…Full Article)

NapolebushBush Bungling into World War 3

By Ian Mosley
July 21st, 2006

Israel has already made incursions across the Lebanese border and a full scale invasion appears imminent. Targets throughout Lebanon have already been bombed, including the airport before citizens from the US and Europe could be evacuated. A recent news article reports that Israel was planning for a large scale invasion.

It looks like Israel will invade Lebanon, for the umpteenth time since the bandit state was created in 1948. Once more, Jewish psychopaths armed to the teeth by the United States and your tax dollars will go berserk, slaughtering their neighbors like cattle, burning and looting and bombing and assassinating right, left and center. Israel has already crossed the border at least once. But this time they’re meeting some resistance. During one of their early forays, the Lebanese Hezbollah guerrillas managed to knock out an Israeli Abrams tank. This came only a few weeks after militants in Gaza, attacked and knocked out an Israeli tank, capturing its gunner, who became a world famous hostage (while most media left out the part about the lost Israeli tank). Lebanese child deliberately attacked by an Israeli F-16 fighter-bomber July 15, 2006The child lies like a rag doll - a symbol of the latest Lebanon war

By Robert Fisk in Beirut

07/20/06 The IndependentHow soon must we use the words “war crime”? How many children must be scattered in the rubble of Israeli air attacks before we reject the obscene phrase “collateral damage” and start talking about prosecution for crimes against humanity?

The child whose dead body lies like a rag doll beside the cars which were supposedly taking her and her family to safety is a symbol of the latest Lebanon war; she was hurled from the vehicle in which she and her family were traveling in southern Lebanon as they fled their village - on Israel’s own instructions. Because her parents were apparently killed in the same Israeli air attack, her name is still unknown. Not an unknown warrior, but an unknown child.

The story of her death, however, is well documented. On Saturday, the inhabitants of the tiny border village of Marwaheen were ordered by Israeli troops - apparently using a bullhorn - to leave their homes by 6pm. Marwaheen lies closest to the spot where Hizbollah guerrillas broke through the frontier wire a week ago to capture two Israeli soldiers and kill three others, the attack which provoked this latest cruel war in Lebanon. The villagers obeyed the Israeli orders and initially appealed to local UN troops of the Ghanaian battalion for protection.(…Full Article)

The Electronic JewIsraeli Propaganda Fills American TV Screens

By Mark Farrell
July 19, 2006

I don’t watch TV too much any more as a result of it being so biased and, quite frankly, depressing–not to mention wasting time on what I perceive as mostly propaganda. It is has become little more than slavishly pro-Israel sound bytes, created by a propaganda-machine that is highly influenced–and almost exclusively owned–by Jews.

Needless to say, Israel-first Jews will argue to anyone who will listen to their idiotic diatribes and accept their baseless lies at face value–that they have little to no influence at all . Some Israel-first Jews even argue (all the while hiding their smirks quite well) that the media are against them.

Still, if you bother to take a little time to search for articles about Jews and their influence on the media on the Internet, you’ll discover that there is much more to it than some wacky right- or left-wing conspiracy; it is a fact which America must squarely face. For, should we ignore the facts, it is highly probable that America will one day face World War III at the behest of these Israel-first aliens in our midst. (more…)

The Star & IndependentIt’s Israel’s Fault

By Charley Reese
July 19, 2006

I was about to write a column condemning Israel’s collective punishment of Palestinians in Gaza and the even more heinous failure of the European Union and the United States to condemn Israel’s war crime. Oh, yes, collective punishment against innocent civilians is a war crime, and it is an Israeli specialty.

However, Hezbollah struck across the Israeli border with Lebanon, kidnapped two more Israeli soldiers, and killed eight. Now Israel is inflicting collective punishment on Lebanon. You can be sure the U.S. and the EU will fail to condemn that, too.

One Israeli writer has already noted the obvious — that Israel’s over-the-top attacks on Gaza have nothing to do with trying to get one soldier freed from his kidnappers, who are apparently a small group of militants. Destroying bridges and a power plant, which means no clean water or sewage for 700,000 people, is just a dress rehearsal for Israel’s long-term plan to drive the Palestinians out of Palestine.

We’ve already become a target of terrorism, as I predicted we would, because of our complicity in Israel’s war crimes. Don’t you think it’s time for us to declare our independence from Israel and its powerful lobby? Don’t you think it’s time to get Israel’s hand out of the U.S. Treasury, from which it collects as a gift $3 billion every year? Don’t you think it’s time to stop protecting Israel in the United Nations, where we veto every resolution that condemns Israel’s bad behavior?(…Full Article)

States introducing immigration Laws (illustration-Philly.com)States Stepping Up To Tackle Immigration Laws

By Jerry Seper
July 18, 2006

State lawmakers are offering more than 500 bills this year targeting state-mandated services, illegal aliens and the employers who hire them, responding to a growing chorus of public opinion nationwide calling for stricter enforcement of immigration laws.

Led by Georgia, where benefits for illegal aliens were cut and stiff sanctions placed on employers who hire illegals, and by Colorado, which banned nonemergency services to those in the country illegally, at least 39 states have either proposed or passed similar legislation.

Lawmakers have focused on constituency concerns regarding an estimated 10 million to 12 million illegal aliens now in the country, resulting in rising costs for education and medical care, higher crime rates and exploitation by employers. (…Full Article)

Where Are The Christians?

By Pat Buchanan
July 18th, 2006

When Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert unleashed his navy and air force on Lebanon, accusing that tiny nation of an “act of war,” the last pillar of Bush’s Middle East policy collapsed.

First came capitulation on the Bush Doctrine, as Pyongyang and Tehran defied Bush’s dictum: The world’s worst regimes will not be allowed to acquire the world’s worst weapons. Then came suspension of the democracy crusade as Islamic militants exploited free elections to advance to power and office in Egypt, Lebanon, Gaza, the West Bank, Iraq and Iran.

Now Israel’s rampage against a defenseless Lebanon — smashing airport runways, fuel tanks, power plants, gas stations, lighthouses, bridges, roads and the occasional refugee convoy — has exposed Bush’s folly in subcontracting U.S. policy out to Tel Aviv, thus making Israel the custodian of our reputation and interests in the Middle East. Israeli airstrike on Lebanon July 2006We’re Being Set Up for Wider War in the Middle East

By Paul Craig Roberts
July 17, 2006

The old adage, “fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me” does not apply to Americans, who have shown that they can be endlessly fooled.

Neoconservatives deceived Americans into an illegal attack and debilitating war in Iraq. American neoconservatives are closely allied with Israel’s Likud Party. In the past, some neocons lost their security clearances because of “mishandling” of classified information. According to Insight magazine, “the Pentagon has banned security clearance to Americans with relatives in Israel. Government sources and attorneys said the Pentagon has sought and succeeded in removing security clearance from dozens of Americans, mostly Jews, who either lived, worked, or have relatives in Israel.”

Despite questions of dual loyalties, neocons hold high positions in the Bush regime. Ten years ago these architects of American foreign and military policy spelled out how they would use deception to achieve “important Israeli strategic objectives” in the Middle East. First, they would focus “on removing Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq.” This would open the door for Israel to provoke attacks from Hezbollah. The attacks would let Israel gain American sympathy and permit Israel to seize the strategic initiative by “engaging Hezbollah, Syria, and Iran as the principal agents of aggression in Lebanon.” (…Full Article)

Lebanese Diversity Map (click to enlarge)Diversity Is Strength! It’s Also…Lebanonization

By Steve Sailer
July 16, 2006

With violence and chaos descending upon Lebanon once again, it’s worth recalling what first transformed this one-time “Switzerland of the Middle East” into a synonym for horror:

bullet

ethnic diversity,

bullet

differential birthrates,

bullet

immigration.

Sound familiar?

Although many in our ahistorical punditariat had declared that Iraq was going to be “the first Arab democracy”, Lebanon was a successful democracy beginning in 1943, when it gained independence from France. It enjoyed a free press, women’s suffrage (from 1953), and a booming economy centered on banks, trade, and tourism.

And then it all came tumbling down. A hellish civil war erupted in 1975 and flared on and off into the early 1990s, with 100 different militias pounding each other with artillery duels inside Beirut.

American Rachel Corrie killed by IsraelisIsrael Has the Right to Murder at Will

By Charles Coughlin
July 16, 2006

The Mid-East is teetering on the brink of a massive conflagration thanks to Israel’s recent acts of war against Palestine and Lebanon. In the face of this lawlessness by the Zionists, American politicians and some talk show hacks have been parroting the phrase “Israel has the right to defend herself.” Every single one of our despicable, spineless politicians, who has made excuses for Israel in the last few weeks, should be hauled before the world court and charged as accomplices in Israel’s latest round of wholesale murder.

Shortly after Israel began waging war on its neighbors over the kidnapping of three soldiers, the rest of the world tried to condemn this behavior as an unjustifiable massive overreaction. Only the United States voted to stop the UN resolution against Israel. Meanwhile, neocons and other politicians hopelessly subservient to the Israeli Lobby have ignored the facts and begun making excuses for Israel. (more…)

Al-Qaa', Eastern Lebanon, August 2006 after an Israeli missile Bodies of migrant workersA Black Flag

By Gideon Levy
July 16, 2006

A black flag hangs over the “rolling” operation in Gaza. The more the operation “rolls,” the darker the flag becomes. The “summer rains” we are showering on Gaza are not only pointless, but are first and foremost blatantly illegitimate. It is not legitimate to cut off 750,000 people from electricity. It is not legitimate to call on 20,000 people to run from their homes and turn their towns into ghost towns. It is not legitimate to penetrate Syria’s airspace. It is not legitimate to kidnap half a government and a quarter of a parliament.

A state that takes such steps is no longer distinguishable from a terror organization. The harsher the steps, the more monstrous and stupid they become, the more the moral underpinnings for them are removed and the stronger the impression that the Israeli government has lost its nerve. Now one must hope that the weekend lull, whether initiated by Egypt or the prime minister, and in any case to the dismay of Channel 2’s Roni Daniel and the IDF, will lead to a radical change.(…Full Article)

Paul Craig RobertsAttention Deficit Americans Are Being Misled to War

By Paul Craig Roberts
July 15, 2006

A terrible thing is happening, and not enough Americans are aware to be able to do anything about it. Zionists in Israel and in the Bush administration are leading America into war with Iran, Syria, Hizbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Palestine. The consequences for America, Israel and the Middle East will be disastrous, but as long as Washington is in thrall to Zionist paranoia, nothing can be done about it. Bush made this clear on July 14 when he rejected the plea from Lebanon’s prime minister to pressure Israel to stop its attack on Lebanon.

The war began when Bush’s neoconservative government invaded Afghanistan and Iraq under the pretense of “fighting terrorism.” Neither front has gone well for America. The Israelis, seeing the growing domestic opposition to Bush’s wars of choice, concluded that they are in danger of losing America’s military intervention in behalf of their Middle East interests. Israel decided to force the issue.

Israel did this by bombing and invading Gaza, from which they had just withdrawn as part of a “Palestinian settlement.” Israel’s pretext was the capture of one Israeli soldier in Gaza in retribution for Israel’s genocidal policies toward Palestine. Few Americans know that Israel has forced Palestinians into ghettos and walled them off from their farm lands, schools, and medical treatment.

By slaughtering scores of civilians and destroying the infrastructure of the fragile land in response to the capture of one Israeli soldier, Israel has made it clear that its policy is fire and sword.(…Full Article)
