What the Iraq War is Costing Us

We are spending $8 billion a month in Iraq. That equates to 2 billion dollars a week, or 267 million dollars a day, or 11 million dollars an hour.

Attached are some comparisons between what we are spending in Iraq as we “stay the course” indefinitely and what those funds could be used for instead.

I’ve been fighting for our military to get out of Iraq because I’m concerned about the loss of our troops and the future of our military and also because I believe they have accomplished their mission there and the Iraqis must resolve their internal conflict themselves. However, I also wanted to demonstrate what these expenses mean to domestic policy in the United States and give you an idea of just some of the things that what we could accomplish with this amount of money.

NATIONAL SECURITY

* $33.1 billion/yr Department of Homeland Security FY 07 budget (4 months in Iraq)

* $10 billion (1-time) Equipping commercial airliners with defenses against shoulder fired missiles (5 weeks in Iraq)

The Beginning Of The End For Israel - Mad Dog Style

Before you bedrock Zionists accuse me of anti-semitism, this is not MY prediction but that of Martin van Creveld, professor of military history at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem as quoted in an article by David Hirst and published in the Observer on Sunday September 21, 2003:

‘We possess several hundred atomic warheads and rockets and can launch them at targets in all directions, perhaps even at Rome. Most European capitals are targets for our air force. Let me quote General Moshe Dayan: “Israel must be like a mad dog, too dangerous to bother.” I consider it all hopeless at this point. We shall have to try to prevent things from coming to that, if at all possible. Our armed forces, however, are not the thirtieth strongest in the world, but rather the second or third. We have the capability to take the world down with us. And I can assure you that that will happen before Israel goes under.’

According to Hirst, this is not new for Israel. As early as the 1950s Israeli Defense Minister Pinhas Lavon, “‘constantly preached for acts of madness’ or ‘going crazy’ if ever Israel were crossed.”

Apparently, Israelis still embrace that approach.

Two days of Israeli bombings had killed 47 Lebanese and wounded 103, Health Minister Mohammed Jawad Khalife said. Besides the Israeli civilian, eight Israeli soldiers had also been killed.

This is in addition to the Palestinians they killed yesterday.

Israel killed at least 23 Palestinians in Gaza on Wednesday, including nine members of one family.

Tony Blair‘s Top Fundraiser Arrested

THE tide of sleaze allegations threatening the Labour government came ever closer to Tony Blair yesterday as the Prime Minister’s personal fundraiser, Lord Levy, was arrested by police investigating claims of cash for peerages.

Lord Levy was questioned at a London police station and later released on bail. He is believed to have handed over documents relating to millions of pounds loaned to Labour last year. He has not been charged and denies all wrongdoing. The arrest left even senior members of the government shocked and Mr Blair’s opponents predicting the affair might yet spell the end of his premiership.

At the Prime Minister’s instigation, Lord Levy oversaw a fundraising drive that saw 12 wealthy men lend Labour almost £14 million in the run up to last year’s general election. Four were later nominated for seats in the House of Lords, but these were blocked by the independent Lords Appointments Commission on becoming aware of the loans.

The loans were such a secret that even Jack Dromey, the Labour Party treasurer, has said he knew nothing of them. But Mr Blair said at a Downing Street press conference in March that he had known about the loans and approved of them.

Lord Levy’s arrest follows the latest twist in the saga, after it was reported the fundraiser told one of the men nominated for a peerage, Sir Gulam Noon, to withhold information about his loan from the appointments commission. Reports on Monday said Sir Gulam rewrote his nomination paper to omit his £250,000 loan, at the urging of Lord Levy.

The police inquiry into the “loans for peerages” affair was triggered by Angus MacNeil, the Scottish National Party MP for the Western Isles, who asked Scotland Yard to examine whether the Labour Party had broken a 1925 law that prohibits the sale of peerages and political honours.

But in a significant escalation of the political stakes, Scotland Yard last night disclosed that Lord Levy is also suspected of breaking the Political Parties, Elections and Referendum Act 2000. Labour passed that law, which obliges parties to declare publicly major financial donations….(Full Article)

Karl Rove Courting Radical, Racist Mexican Group

Karl Rove, President George W. Bush’s political advisor, and Senator Sam Brownback (R-TX), are planning to meet with the the left-wing Mexican group La Raza this week.

La Raza is considered by many to be a radical racist group promoting hatred towards the “Gringo.” In fact, La Raza means “The Race.”

Former President Bill Clinton heads the list of speakers for the annual meeting of La Raza’s national council. The Rev. Jesse Jackson will appear on a panel. Observers say they expect to see the likes of Clinton and Jackson meeting with a racist group of Mexicans, but they are surprised that two supposed conservative Republicans would give the group credibility by meeting with them.

Some Washington insiders believe that President Bush is continuing to make overtures towards Latino groups that advocate open borders and that many in the Republican Party see this as an opportunity to appeal to illegal aliens thereby garning a larger share of the Hispanic vote.

“While attempting to court the Hispanic population, the GOP appears to be willing to get into bed with a Marxist, racist bunch,” said Mike Baker, a GOP political analyst.

Silence Of The Poodles

Words spoken years ago by George W. Ball, a distinguished diplomat, author and champion of human rights, have vivid, new currency: “When Israel’s interests are being considered, Members of Congress act like trained poodles. They jump dutifully through hoops held by Israel’s lobby.” In the same interview, Ball said, “The lobby’s most powerful instrument of intimidation is the reckless charge of anti-Semitism.” Sadly, his words ring true today, verified by my own experiences and those of many of my colleagues in the U.S. legislature.

Ball could have added that, except for exuberant praise of Israel, the poodles remain mute as they jump through the hoops, lest they lapse into free speech and say something that will spoil their chances for re-election.

The fear of being charged with anti-Semitism outranks all other worries that bedevil politicians, and the lobby has marketed it so efficiently that a wall of silence shields the American people from awareness of the lobby’s activities and U.S. complicity in Israel’s longstanding abuse of international law and Arab human rights, violations that the rest of the world follows with dismay and anger. Fear of the anti-Semitism stain is intensified these days, because the lobby has succeeded in redefining anti-Semitism to include any criticism of Israeli behavior, an inferred threat that prompts all major media to ignore or sanitize reports of Israeli violations…. Converts’ Hardships Expose Truth

“My father didn’t survive the Holocaust to have his grandson marry a shiksa.”

Alison, my classmate from the University of Pennsylvania who is currently in the process of converting to Judaism, gasped at the harshness of the words delivered stoically by her boyfriend’s mother.

He succumbed to intense pressure from his parents to end the relationship, while she was subjected to a cascade of accusations:

“Converts are not welcome in my family.” “No Jewish boy will ever want to marry you.” “You are inadequate to raise Jewish children.”

“I felt like someone was putting a knife through my heart,” she told me. “When you’re so passionate about something, and you know you will never be accepted…. I’ll always feel inadequate.”

‘White Flight’ Sparks Calls for Dual Language

CARBONDALE - Adrienne Davis graduated from Carbondale’s Roaring Fork High School in 1999. She is now a teacher at Edwards Elementary School where in a few years all the classes will be taught in both Spanish and English.

Starting this fall, all kindergarten classes will be dual language. And as those classes move up, eventually the entire school will be bilingual.

It is a solution that is working in Edwards, Davis said, where formerly about 80 percent of the kids in the elementary school were Hispanic.

“It is definitely a positive thing,” Davis said. “The kids are all playing together. They’re all in the same shoes, (because) they know what it feels like not to know the language. They have more appreciation for each other.

“It’s so neat to see the parents getting together talking about how their kids are doing. It’s a union of cultures,” she said.

Dual-language learning is a two-way immersion program where native English and Spanish speakers first learn to read and write in their native tongue, while being exposed to oral lessons in their non-native language. A Warning to Those Who Dare to Criticize Israel in the Land of Free Speech

Commentary by Dr. David Duke – Robert Fisk, the intrepid British journalist who dares to report many of the gory details about Zionism, has struck again with a great article on how freedom of speech in America has been curtailed by the Jewish extremists who have so much inordinate influence in the USA. He points out that in America and elsewhere around the world, if one dares to criticize Jewish supremacism and Israeli crimes, the truth teller will be the one accused of the ultimate crime: “anti-Semitism.” Anyone who dares to criticize Jewish intolerance, Jewish crimes against Palestinians, disproportionate Jewish control over American media and government policy is then labeled as “intolerant” himself.

It has even reached the point where the latest edition of Webster’s Dictionary labels mere criticism of Zionism or even sympathy with opponents of the State of Israel, as “anti-Semitic.” Fisk writes:

…what’s the point when Webster’s Third New International Dictionary defines “anti-Semitism” as “opposition to Zionism: sympathy with opponents of the state of Israel”…

So if someone simply utters even the mildest criticism of Israel or Zionists then he becomes just one more anti-Semite alongside Julius Streicher of “Der Stürmer. Jewish extremist power has gotten so obscenely pervasive that now it even controls the most basic elements of our language. (more…)

The White House Honors Hateful Jewish Supremacists

According to the Jewish Telegraph Agency (JTA) of June 27, 2006, the late, messiah wanna-be, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the “Lubovitcher Rebbe” who headed the Chabad movement and wielded great influence in Israel as well as in the U.S. is now being honored at the White House.

Schneerson had a lifetime of vicious, anti-Gentile writing and his Movement has always equated Gentiles as part of the animal kingdom. In his writing he explained that,

“The difference between a Jewish and a non-Jewish person stems from the common expression: ‘Let us differentiate.’ Thus, we do not have a case of profound change in which a person is merely on a superior level. Rather, we have a case of ‘let us differentiate’ between totally different species. This is what needs to be said about the body: the body of a Jewish person is of a totally different quality from the body of [members] of all nations of the world…A non-Jew’s entire reality is only vanity. It is written, ‘And the strangers shall guard and feed your flocks’ (Isaiah 61:5). The entire creation [of a non-Jew] exists only for the sake of the Jews…”

The ideas of Rabbi Schneerson that appear below are taken from a book of his recorded messages to followers in Israel, titled Gatherings of Conversations and published in the Holy Land in 1965. During the subsequent three decades of his life until his death, Rabbi Schneerson remained consistent; he did not change any of the opinions. What Rabbi Schneerson taught either was or immediately became official, Lubavitch-Hassidic doctrine. Regarding the non-Jew the Lubovitcher Rebbe’s views were clear even if a bit disorderly:

“In such a manner the Halachah, stipulated by the Talmud, showed that a non-Jew should be punished by death if he kills an embryo, even if the embryo is non-Jewish, while the Jew should not be, even if the embryo is Jewish. “

The Lubovitcher Rebbe continued:

A Frank Discussion of Jewish Group Dynamics

I have long thought about writing this article but hesitated because I didn’t want the reader to conclude that I believed that all Jews are complicit in what amounts to a vast conspiracy to undermine western civilization and establish a Talmudic centered one world government. However, times have changed, and I feel obligated to write this and post it on the last bastion of freedom of speech, the Internet – before even that, in its present form is made unavailable to mankind.

Of course all Jews aren’t engaged in this nefarious plan, but unfortunately most of them will come to the aid of those who are. There are some exceptions, on occasion one will criticize another, but as a rule, those who are in a position to publicly denounce one of their own are still pro-Israel/pro-Zionist in orientation. A Jewish conservative talk show host named Michael Savage recently condemned George Soros, a multinational Jewish Supremacist, for engaging in the kind of activities that according to Savage led to the holocaust more than sixty years ago. In a sense Savage is right, Soros is exactly the kind of Jew that inspired Germans to wake up and democratically elect Adolf Hitler in 1933, the financial shenanigans Soros engages in today, are pretty much the same thing German Jews were engaged in prior to the Second World War. Unfortunately, Savage can’t be looked at as a role model for Jews either; he’s a hard core Zionist and an Israeli apologist, blindly towing the line for this little provocateur no matter what it does or whom it does it to

 This little spat between Soros and Savage illustrates an important point and one I intend to thoroughly expand on in the next few pages. Savage is allegedly a “right wing” Jew and Soros is allegedly a leftist, both are Jewish, both have a voice, both have a platform, Savage’s is talk radio and Soros speaks through various organizations, like Moveon.com and whatever else his money and influence buys. You won’t hear any non-Jewish critics of Israel on the radio, television or on Moveon.com – they have no voice, no platform, not in the mainstream media anyway. The networks have gotten to the point where when Israel and/or Middle Eastern affairs are discussed; the experts and analysts are introduced, and they may as well be referred to as Jew #1, Jew #2 and Jew #3. I can’t tell you how sick it makes me when Fox News, the allegedly “fair and balanced,” network introduces Charles Krauthammer and William Crystal to their viewers as if either could possibly offer an unbiased opinion when it comes to Israel and/or organized Jewry, both are in every sense of the word Jewish Supremacists. U.S. To Pay $48 Million For Repairs To Gaza Power Station

United States officials said they expect U.S. funds will be used to pay for the damages caused by an Israel Air Force strike Tuesday on a Palestinian power station in the Gaza Strip.

The power station was insured by a U.S. government agency, according to The Boston Globe.

The foreign and defense ministry departments that oversee foreign relations were unaware of the decision to target civilian facilities in the Strip, or the decision to attack the power station.

Because of this, officials did not know the station was insured by a U.S. government agency. Israel did not inform the U.S. prior to attacking the power station.

The power station in Gaza was built over a period of five years, at a cost of $150 million… (Full Article)
