It is as though I’m back as an analyst at the CIA, trying to estimate the chances of an attack on Iran. The putative attacker, though, happens to be our own president.

It is precisely the kind of work we analysts used to do. And, while it is still a bit jarring to be turning our analytical tools on the U.S. leadership, it is by no means entirely new. For, of necessity, we Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) have been doing that for almost six years now-ever since 9/11, when “everything changed.”

Of necessity? Yes, because, with very few exceptions, American journalists put their jobs at grave risk if they expose things like fraudulent wars.

The craft of CIA analysis was designed to be an all-source operation, meaning that we analysts were responsible-and held accountable-for assimilating information from all sources and coming to judgments on what it all meant. We used data of various kinds, from the most sophisticated technical collection platforms, to spies, to-not least-open media.

Here I must reveal a trade secret and risk puncturing the mystique of intelligence analysis. Generally speaking, 80 percent of the information one needs to form judgments on key intelligence targets or issues is available in open media. It helps to have been trained-as my contemporaries and I had the good fortune to be trained-by past masters of the discipline of media analysis, which began in a structured way in targeting Japanese and German media in the 1940s. But, truth be told, anyone with a high school education can do it. It is not rocket science.

Dear Fredrick,

I have in front of me your letters of May 23 - the one that went astray - and of August 1. I won’t comment on the newspaper clippings/letters-to-the-editor you included in your May letter. I’ve always considered letter writing to mass media a waste of time - like throwing pearls before swine. But that may be only so because I had other, better things to do while roaming freely.

To your questions: by court order I have been kept in a single cell. Hence I was never together with others, which is a blessing. The various cells I have been in are comparable to my student rooms of the 1980s while studying in Bonn/Frankfurt/Stuttgart - hence a mere step back in time.

They keep Ernst Zundel separate from me and I haven’t met him so far. It could happen accidentally, in the waiting room at the prison hospital. So far, though, no such luck.

I exercise five days a week: daily 80 minutes work-out, 5km jogging, plus Monday night it’s volley ball in the hall, and since Monday I can participate in the afternoon activity because I am off from kitchen work. This means I can play volley ball every day, but I actually restrict it to the time after I finish my daily 5 km run. I tried vegetarian food at Heidelberg prison and strongly disliked it. I am now on Muslim food which has much better meat. I try to eat muesli every evening, which is difficult to organize because I cannot buy any yoghurt here in the prison supermarket. And so I have to trade it with other inmates who are on some diet containing yoghurt but who are willing to give it up for this or that favour or alternative item they need. You know how it is. Holocaust or Holohoax?
New Nazi Records Delivered to Shoah Museums in Washington and Jerusalem May Break the Tie

The keepers of a Nazi archive have delivered copies of Gestapo papers and concentration camp records to museums in Washington and Jerusalem, providing Holocaust survivors a paper trail of their own persecution. Full story published in the Washington Post. A story was also published in the Deseret Morning News on August 22nd, but it provides no Utah perspective on this issue.

The director of the International Tracing Service, which has served as the custodian of these records maintained in Germany for over 50 years, has released these files to the custody of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington and the Yad Vashem Martyrs and Heroes Remembrance Authority in Jerusalem. The records are organized on six computer hard drives bearing electronic images of 20 million pages. However, the hard drives merely contain the first installment of digital copies; the final documents will not be copied and delivered until early 2009.

However, due to the variety and sheer volume of the records received, it will be months before the archive can be used to search family histories. First, it will take days merely to transfer the data to museum computers. Then it will have to be further decoded, classified, and indexed. Complicating this task is the fact that most of the documents in the archive are written by hand, sometimes in old German script. They also contain variations in the spelling of names, many of which are recorded phonetically. That makes it impossible, for now, to convert large numbers of files to a digitally searchable form. What Is ASPAN And Why Do Mexicans Oppose It?

Why do a growing number of Americans oppose the SPP (Security and Prosperity Partnership), the three-country framework drawing the U.S., Canada and Mexico into a closer union?

They oppose it because the kind of continental integration it envisions threatens U.S. sovereignty and the primacy of our Constitution.

But if merging with Mexico and Canada would destroy American sovereignty, what would it do to the sovereignties of Canada and Mexico?

The interesting reality is that in both Canada and Mexico, there is also opposition to the SPP and related integration. Canadians and Mexicans also see it as a threat to their sovereignty! The vast body of American cyber-literature on the topic almost completely ignores Mexican opposition to the SPP. In fact, I have seen some writers confidently state that there is no opposition to the SPP in Mexico.

Time For Decent Jews to Stand Up and Be Heard

When the indecent Jewish “Young Turks” took over the Ottoman Empire and began to slaughter Christians in 1909 and 1911, Brits pleaded with decent Western Jews to do something to end the carnage. Their cries for help not only went unheeded, but indecent Jewish leaders defamed those who spoke out on behalf of the Armenian Christians, whom Jews were mass murdering in the Ottoman Empire. Then, in 1915, these Jews who led the Ottoman Empire genocided 1.5 million Armenian Christians.

If decent Jews had spoken out, these 1.5 million Armenians would not have been murdered. The same happened in 1919, when Brits begged decent Jews to demand that the indecent Jewish Bolsheviks stop mass murdering Christian Slavs. Again, indecent Jewish leaders ridiculed these cries for help, and decent Jews were largely silent. Tens of millions of Christian Slavs then perished at the hands of Jewish Bolshevists like Lazar Kaganovich.

Today, Armenians are merely asking for recognition of the crimes perpetrated against them. Jewish leaders have long obstructed such recognition—little wonder why. When we tell the truth about these crimes, defamations are hurled at us for reporting the facts. It is high time for decent Jews to demand that this end once and for all time.

Today, indecent Jewish leaders are defaming Moslems and mass murdering them in Iraq, Palestine and recently in Lebanon; just as they defamed Armenian and Slavic Christians before genociding them.

On December 6th, 1971 the courageous Louisiana Representative, John R. Rarick — read into the Congressional Record — Senator Jack B. Tenney’s prophetic warning concerning the dangers to the American way of life posed by the Anti-Defamation League’s sinister thought manipulation and spying programs:

While the ADL, bureaucracy emphasizes its Jewish character for defensive purposes it does not speak for American Jews. Israel’s Jewish Problem in Tehran

If Ahmadinejad really is Hitler, why are some 25,000 Jews living peacefully in Iran?

Iran is the new Nazi Germany and its President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is the new Hitler. Or so Israeli officials have been declaring for months as they and their American allies try to persuade the doubters in Washington that an attack on Tehran is essential. And if the latest media reports are to be trusted, it looks like they may again be winning the battle for hearts and minds: Vice President Dick Cheney is said to be diverting the White House back on track to launch a military strike.



Earlier this year Binyamin Netanyahu, Israel’s opposition leader and the man who appears to be styling himself scaremonger-in-chief, told us: “It’s 1938 and Iran is Germany. And Iran is racing to arm itself with atomic bombs.” Of Ahmadinejad, he said: “He is preparing another Holocaust for the Jewish state.”



A few weeks ago, as Israel’s military intelligence claimed — as it has been doing regularly since the early 1990s — that Iran is only a year or so away from the “point of no return” on developing a nuclear warhead. Netanyahu was at it again. “Iran could be the first undeterrable nuclear power,” he warned, adding: “This is a Jewish problem like Hitler was a Jewish problem. The future of the Jewish people depends on the future of Israel.”


But Netanyahu has been far from alone in making extravagant claims about a looming genocide from Iran. Israel’s new president, Shimon peres, has compared an Iranian nuclear bomb to a “flying concentration camp”. And the prime minister, Ehud Olmert, told a German newspaper last year: “[Ahmadinejad] speaks as Hitler did in his time of the extermination of the entire Jewish nation.”



There is an interesting problem with selling Iran as “Nazi Germany”. If Ahmadinejad really is Hitler, ready to commit genocide against Israel’s Jews as soon as he can get his hands on a nuclear weapon, why are some 25,000 Jews living peacefully in Iran and more than reluctant to leave despite repeated enticements from Israel and American Jews?

White Buck Shoes and the North American Union

This past week, Pat Boone stomped his white bucks all over George Bush’s so-called North American Union scheme.

In his column on the WorldNetDaily Website, Boone wrote about his opposition to this screwball plan to combine the U.S., Mexico and Canada into one vast community with no meaningful borders.

After owning up to being a supporter of Bush, Boone then wrote a version of what many of Bush’s apologists have been writing and saying: “But I’ve been mystified by the concessions that [President Bush has] made to Mexico, the strange reticence to address our porous borders and the surging problem of illegal aliens.”

Mr. Boone shouldn’t be mystified. I’ve been writing about Bush’s scheme for years. Still, it seems that some supporters of Bush are like the O.J. jury. They just refuse to believe what seems clear to others.

These days, more than a few of the Bush apologists are twisting themselves into pretzels trying to make sense of Bush’s open borders and North American Union plans. Many of them think–or, maybe they’re just trying to convince themselves–that it’s some sort of aberration or lapse of judgment on Bush’s part. “Why, he’s just getting bad advice. Yes, that’s it. He’s a swell guy, but he’s just getting bad advice.” Ho hum.

I don’t see it that way.

If I’m right, Bush’s push to merge the U.S. with Mexico and Canada is not an aberration or lapse of judgment. This is the real George Bush. This is the man behind the just-folks attitude and smiles.

And, unfortunately, if I am right, the truth of what Bush is all about is much worse than what many believe. Much worse. It’s not just about economics. It’s about genetics.

Warhawks Dominate Both Major Parties

Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) recently (although indirectly) put his finger on what may be the foremost problem of the American political process:

Obama exposed the fact that in the foreign policy realm, all of the leading presidential candidates of both major parties have actually come together as members of what some call “the War Party.”

During a recent debate, responding to critics among his rivals, Obama snapped, “I find it amusing that those who helped to authorize and engineer the biggest foreign-policy disaster in our generation are now criticizing me.”

Obama was referring to the point that the other “top tier” Democratic candidates—Senators Chris Dodd (Conn.), Joseph Biden (Del.) and Hillary Clinton (N.Y.) and former Sen. John Edwards (N.C.)—all voted to support Republican George W. Bush’s senseless decision to wage war on Iraq. (As an Illinois state legislator, Obama opposed the war.)

By publicly reminding grass-roots Democrats— some of the staunchest critics of the war—that their own party leaders lined up with Bush in waging the war, Obama effectively pointed toward an unspoken reality: that the primary motivation for Democrats to support Bush’s war was that destroying Iraq was at the top of the “want list” of the Israeli lobby and its American supporters who funnel tens of millions of dollars in campaign money to both major parties. Pro- Israel donors swell Democratic coffers to the tune of perhaps as much as 80% of all contributions. The level of pro-Zionist contributions to GOP campaign funds is not quite that high—but almost.

Ron Paul Translates his Online Support to the Straw Polls

In two stunning victories, Ron Poll has received 81 percent of the vote in the Alabama Straw Poll and 73 percent of the vote in the New Hampshire Straw Poll. These straw polls are intended to determine how strong a Republican candidate is among ordinary Republican voters. Both the Alabama and New Hampshire straw polls allowed ordinary registered Republicans to vote.

These tremendous victories come on the heels of a strong showing in the Iowa Straw Poll, where Ron Paul went from near total obscurity to over nine percent of the vote, placing him in the top five. Paul followed up his strong showing in Iowa with an even stronger showing in Illinois, scoring 19 percent of the vote, finishing just one percent behind second place Fred Thompson.

Early in the primary, Ron Paul was getting 60 to 80+ percent in a variety of online Internet polls. A few media pundits mentioned this bizarre split between the online world and reality, which appears to have been finally bridged this week!! In a way, this all makes sense. People voting in online polls are most likely much better informed than ordinary Americans. Similarly, the Republicans voting in these straw polls are better motivated and better informed also. Once Ron Paul proved that he can place in the top tier in Iowa and Illinois, the floodgates were opened for people to vote for him. They were no longer “throwing their vote away” by voting for the candidate, whom they knew was the best man in the race.

Someone should tell the people at the Gallup and Rassmussen polling agencies to make sure they poll people who actually KNOW SOMETHING about the candidates. The mainstream media is still blacking out news of Ron Paul for the most part. It will be interesting to see how much longer they can ignore the biggest political news story of the election. The Wall Street Journal referred to Ron Paul’s finish in the top five in the Iowa Straw Poll as “impressive” taking into account that he only spent 17 days there compared to 66 or more days for the candidates who placed ahead of him.

Ron Paul Has Repeatedly Proven Himself A Major Candidate

Ron Paul just scored 19 percent in the Illinois Straw Poll despite a continuing media black out, which is growing more obvious every day. Paul placed in the top three –only one percent behind former TV star, Fred Thompson with Mitt Moneybags Romney placing first –although once again with less than a majority.

This strong finish by Ron Paul comes at a key time. The top five people in last week’s Iowa straw poll included Ron Paul, Romney, Brownback, Huckabee and Tancredo. Three candidates, Brownback, Huckabee and Tancredo had made a HUGE effort in Iowa spending much of their campaign funds and 66 or more days in that state. All three were hoping a good finish in Iowa would give them some momentum, but the Illinois Straw Poll suggests that they have fallen flat. Huckabee scored only 3 percent in Illinois. Brownback had 1.1 percent, and Tom Tancredo had an embarrassingly bad 0.3 percent.

The neocon favorites Rudy Giuliani and John McCain scored only one percent each in the Iowa Straw Poll. In Illinois, Giuliani finished behind Ron Paul with 11.6 percent, and McCain had a pathetic 4.1 percent. If it weren’t for the endless praise lavished on them by the mainstream media, McCain and Giuliani would have quit the race by now.

Ron Paul’s strong showing comes as no surprise to his enormous Internet following. Paul routinely gets a majority of the vote on Internet on-line polls. His enemies have accused “spammers” of influencing the outcome, but no one has ever produced any proof of this. No matter who does the poll, whether it’s ABC or MSNBC or some small time pollster, Ron Paul followers show up and vote for him, almost always giving him a large majority.
