I recently was browsing through the headlines at Michael Rivero’s excellent information clearing house, Whatreallyhappened.com, when I stumbled upon an article written by one Edward Bernard Glick entitled “America’s youth must serve their country, one way or another.” The article was the typical bilge one sees so commonly these days, the author asserted that “The United States military has a very big problem: Too many global conflicts and commitments - and too few soldiers.” His solution? Reinstate the draft of course. Glick, the gentleman that he is, prepared his article in just such a way as to appeal to all of the tired and worn out politically correct ideals held by his ilk for the last forty years – he wants his reader to believe that a draft will somehow further “gender equality” and be “fairer to African Americans and other minorities.”

What a kind, altruistic and benevolent man, this Glick. He tells us just how he’d do it too, according to Glick, “Here’s how the new draft should work:”

• All able-bodied and able-minded 18-year-old men and women should have their names placed in a lottery. Depending on how many soldiers are needed - typically just a few thousand each year - a modest percentage would be drafted.

Moran Upsets Jewish Groups Again
U.S. House Democrat Said Pro-Israel Lobby Promoted War

Rep. James P. Moran Jr. (D-Va.) has again come under fire from local Jewish organizations for remarking in a magazine interview that the “extraordinarily powerful” pro-Israel lobby played a strong role promoting the war in Iraq.

In an interview with Tikkun, a California-based Jewish magazine, Moran said the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is “the most powerful lobby and has pushed this war from the beginning. I don’t think they represent the mainstream of American Jewish thinking at all, but because they are so well organized, and their members are extraordinarily powerful — most of them are quite wealthy — they have been able to exert power.”

Moran’s remarks were criticized by the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington and the National Jewish Democratic Council. Ronald Halber, executive director of the first group, said Moran’s remarks are anti-Semitic and draw on ugly stereotypes about Jewish wealth, power and influence.

“He uses several age-old canards that have been used throughout history that have brought violence upon Jews,” Halber said this week. “He uses clearly anti-Semitic images such as Jewish control of the media and wealthy Jews using their wealth to control policy.”

Ira N. Forman, executive director of the National Jewish Democratic Council, said in a published statement that there is nothing wrong with criticizing the pro-Israel lobby but that Moran’s statements go beyond that to defamation by making a “phony” connection between AIPAC and the Iraq war.

“Rep. Moran’s comments are not only incorrect and irresponsible,” Forman said. “They are downright dangerous.”

In an interview last night, Moran said he was dismayed at the reaction to his remarks, which he stands by. The pro-Israel lobby has not represented mainstream U.S. Jewish opinion in recent years, he said — most notably with its Middle East policies, which he characterized as directly aligned with those of the Bush administration. The ADL gives Jews a bad name

The recent outrage against the Anti-Defamation League may be the beginning of a lot more. This time they offended a group – the Armenian community – that isn’t intimidated by their wealth and power. Others may take notice.

Formally recognizing the Armenian genocide of 1915 posed a political problem for the ADL, so they chose to ignore it. It was an interesting dance for an organization that sells itself as a defender of human rights. The Armenian community finally got very angry and vocal, and forced the town of Watertown to boot the ADL out. After much waffling, the ADL was forced to back down. But it wasn’t about principle. It was shameful political calculus.

At the center of things is the ADL’s local “No Place For Hate” program, started in 1999 and now in dozens of towns across Massachusetts. It’s a brilliant scheme. The ADL and local liberals persuade a town that it needs to be “certified” to be hate-free by bringing the ADL’s anti-hate programs, particularly in the schools, and posting the ADL’s slogans and logo.

To many citizens, it’s quite insulting that an outside group determines that their community is (unbeknownst to its residents) such incubators of bigotry and hatred that they and their children need special training. It becomes laughable in towns like Newton.

But what’s really offensive is that what’s being marketed as “anti-hate” is actually a radical left-wing agenda: a saturation of anti-traditional values – militantly pro-homosexual, and fiercely anti-Christian – with a heavy dose of intimidation against anyone who disagrees.

School students sit through endless ADL diversity assemblies that drone on, pushing all the propaganda. Most kids find it boring, actually. Parents simply endure it.

Even more obnoxious is that the program’s local web of committees serves as yet another springboard for left-wing political activism (usually against local conservatives).

In the U.S., scholars who contest the conventional wisdom about Israel all too often lose their reputations — and their jobs

Norman Finkelstein Interview

DePaul University canceled courses taught by Norman Finkelstein, the controversial political science professor known for his forthright criticism of Israel, just a week before classes resumed in June. Finkelstein, who taught at DePaul for six years, was denied tenure at the Chicago school but permitted to teach for the one year remaining on his contract.

In late August, however, the university decided to axe him and pulled his required books from the school’s bookstore. This was a break from the academic tradition that grants a faculty member who is denied tenure one last year (the “terminal year”) in the classroom. Finkelstein initially vowed to protest his suspension, but later reached an agreement (including a monetary settlement) with DePaul to end his fight. However, even as he announced the agreement, Finkelstein charged his tenure denial was due “to external pressure resulting in a national hysteria.”

Finkelstein’s rough treatment followed a vigorous national campaign initiated by right-wing supporters of Israel to taint his name. They attacked Finkelstein for his scholarship, which has consistently excoriated the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories and the deceitful arguments of the Jewish state’s uncritical supporters. And Finkelstein is just one of many public figures currently under attack for contesting the conventional wisdom about Israel.

Harvard law professor and avid Zionist Alan Dershowitz mounted a relentless public campaign to have Finkelstein dismissed. Surely it is no coincidence that Finkelstein’s recent book, Beyond Chutzpah: On the Misuse of Anti-Semitism and the Abuse of History, is a sustained, well-researched attack on Dershowitz and his ilk for their lurid distortions of history on behalf of Israel. German TV Host and Author Eva Herman Fired for Promoting Motherhood in Germany

Below are some excerpts taken from Der Spiegel magazine in Germany. It discusses the firing of a popular talkshow host, Mrs. Eva Herman, who simply mentioned in a recent book the historical fact that Hitler intensely promoted motherhood and the family in National Socialist Germany. When she recounted this fact she criticized the National Socialist regime, but no matter. Germany and the whole European world is now under such thought control and lack of intellectual freedom that not a single line is allowed to be written in a positive sense about Adolf Hitler or the Third Reich without destruction of the truth teller’s career, and sometimes even incarceration. Invariably, anyone who dares to say even the slightest positive comments about any policies of the Third Reich, even if they forcefully criticize other aspects, he earns the title of “Nazi.” It is akin to the label of witch or heretic for the freethinkers of the middle ages.

The primary reason Eva Herman was attacked and fired was because of her message of life and family for the German and the European people. The terrible fact is that the European people are being genocided by the destruction of the family and suicidally low birthrates. Combined with massive immigration and intermarriage, these policies are destroying the character of the European people and civilization. Of course, what Eva Herman says is true. Unless German women concentrate more on children and family rather than career, the German people will die out.

How the Israel Lobby has Played the Democrats for Fools

(LibertarianToday.com) — Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who recently bragged of being “a master in calculation and tabulation” whose “double proof” formulas showed the US wouldn’t wage war on Iran, may want to recheck his figures and compare them with Pat Buchanan’s assessment of the chances for such an attack.

On MSNBC on Monday, August 27, and in his follow up columns of August 28 and September 1, Pat Buchanan hit the nail on the head in identifying the powerful forces pushing for a US war against Iran, a war that Buchanan believes might be met (at least initially) with public approval.

As Buchanan noted on MSNBC: “I think if you took polls of the American people, they would put Iran right up at the top of America’s enemies list.”

The recent US public paranoia over Iran, of course, isn’t based on reality, but rather on the latest neocon media campaign claiming anti-US machinations by Iran in Iraq, and portraying Iran’s ongoing nuclear power program as an imminent WMD “threat.” The propaganda has effectively allowed the Bush administration to scapegoat Iran for America’s self-inflicted Middle East wounds, and portray Iran as on the cusp of developing renegade nuclear weapons, which is a lie.

Buchanan continues: “So I think in the Democratic Party, of course, you’ve got the — with due respect, you’ve got the Israeli Lobby and Israel, and you’ve got the hardline like [Sen. Joe] Lieberman, and you’ve got the Neoconservatives, and you’ve got a lot of evangelical Christians and others who think this is a real menace and you ought to hit them.”

Translated from PC-speak, what Buchanan is correctly conveying here is that the Democratic Party is in the grip of the Israel lobby not only in the form of groups like AIPAC and the office of “hardline Joe Lieberman,” but also in the form of other members of the Congressional Jewish nationalist caucus, which includes left liberal Jewish Zionists such as Rahm Emanuel, Chuck Schumer, Tom Lantos, Gary Ackerman, Howard Berman, Carl Levin, Steve Rothman and Barney Frank, among others.

PHOENIX, AZ—A few weeks have passed since the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps (MCDC) first challenged the Bush Administration to prove it is on schedule for the construction of the initial span of physical border fencing that President Bush promised would be completed by September 30, 2007. On May 30, 2006, President Bush promised the completion of 70 miles by his self-imposed deadline, but less than 20 miles of fencing has been constructed, and to stay on track, a crash building schedule of more than 25 miles of fence per week is now required before the President’s September deadline expires.

“The American people would be better served if the Secure Fencing Act was implemented without any more Washington game-playing, Potomac two-stepping—or wasteful defense industry boondoggle contracts,” states Chris Simcox, MCDC Founder and President. “The Bush Administration needs to get serious and stop playing politics; the money should be immediately dedicated to building the Minuteman-style double-layered, doable model, rather than wasted on unproven ‘virtual’ fencing.”

To date, barely 20 miles stands of the promised 70 miles of physical border fence by the President’s self-imposed deadline of September 30, 2007, even after $1.9 Billion was appropriated for fence construction as well as for the compensation of 6,000 National Guard troops. The agencies in charge are now asking already over-burdened U.S. Border Patrol agents to volunteer their time in order to build fencing—which was originally a task relegated to members of the National Guard troops, so that Border Patrol agents could concentrate man-hours on border enforcement and apprehensions. Half of the National Guard troops are now being removed from border deployment and reassigned. (more…)

Israel Bombs Syria, Neocons Cheer

Obviously, the rush to war—or unprovoked mass murder—is not going fast enough for Israel. “Israel believes that North Korea has been supplying Syria and Iran with nuclear materials, a Washington defense official told the New York Times,” Yedioth Internet reports. “The official added that recent Israeli reconnaissance flights over Syria revealed possible nuclear installations that Israeli officials estimate might have been supplied with material from North Korea.”

It appears this ruse is a cover for Israel’s latest provocation—an airstrike against “a Syrian-Iranian missile base in northern Syria that was financed by Iran,” according to a Nazareth-based Israeli Arab newspaper. Imagine Syria and Iran launching strikes against an Israeli missile base stocked by the United States (Israel receives $3 billion a year in military “assistance,” with about $1.8 billion a year in Foreign Military Financing grants from the Department of Defense, according to the Arms Trade Resource Center). Such an attack and violation of national sovereignty would be slapped across the front page of the aforementioned New York Times in 72 point blood red type while neocons would be slavering for retribution, i.e., demanding the mass murder of Syrian and Iranian grandmothers and grade schoolers.

In addition, reports the Canadian Press, “Israel is keeping troops along the Syrian border on high alert” and “there have been no signs that Syria is preparing for war after the alleged incident.” Of course, a military response by Syria would be welcome by the Israeli Jabotinskyites and their neocon collaborators, especially during Rosh Hashana.

Hate Bills Top Democrat Agenda

The Democrats have projected many frightening bills during this session of Congress. At least four have been defeated and several seem to be set aside as a result of public outcry. Yet, the two most dangerous, the federal hate crimes bill S.A. 2067 and ENDA, the Employment Non-discrimination Act of 2007 (H.R. 2015), top the list of Democratic “must pass” legislation.

On Sept. 5, a House of Representatives’ subcommittee held hearings on ENDA. Another subcommittee is diligently preparing it for an imminent vote.

Family Research Council says the bill:

“would radically transform the workplace discrimination law by granting special rights to homosexuals and transsexuals - while ignoring those of employers… Although in its present form churches wouldn’t be forced to hire homosexuals, any of their sponsored organizations, such as schools, nursing homes, adoption agencies, soup kitchens, and summer camps… could no longer refuse to hire homosexuals simply because the behavior violates the group’s core doctrine. Instead, faith-based programs would have to publicly outline which “religious tenets” they consider significant, marking an unprecedented intrusion by the federal government to religious freedom.” ¹

In other words, it would be up to a judge to determine what aspects of the ministry would be protected from homosexuals’ intrusion and which would not. Pray that your church will not be assigned a pro-homosexual judge! Your church might merit no protection from sodomites who demand to be hired, even as clergy!

How Israeli Terrorism and American Treason Caused the September 11 Attacks

Every terrorist involved in the September attacks, which caused the death of thousands of Americans on September 11, should suffer the ultimate punishment for his crime. No person or nation that commits terrorism against America should escape punishment.

But now I am going to make a statement that may well shock you.

If you agree that those who commit terrorist acts against America should be punished, then America should put Israel at the top of our hit list; for in this article, I will prove that Israel has committed deliberate acts of murderous terrorism against America and has responsibility for the carnage of September 11, 2001.

I will show that Israel has committed more continuing terrorism in the last half century than any other nation on earth. Then, I will expose Israel’s record of terrorism and treachery against the United States of America. Finally, I will show the shocking facts proving that Israel’s extremist government, under the leadership of mass-murderer Ariel Sharon, treacherously abetted the 9-11 catastrophe.

Israel’s acts of terrorism and treachery against America have not only gone unpunished, but have been rewarded by politicians who have treasonously betrayed the United States.

Why was America attacked?

No one would argue that whatever his motivations, if bin Laden was behind the horror of the WTC attacks, he deserves punishment for killing so many innocent people. At the same time, it is vital that we know why bin Laden and millions of others around the world have come to hate America. Why are so many willing to risk or even sacrifice their lives to get at us? I certainly hope no one reading this is so naïve as to believe that the growing millions who hate America do so because we are “free.” That canard has to be the most ridiculous notion ever sold to the American people since the pet rock.

Could the MOSSAD Have Staged the 911 Attack?

About the same time as the 911 attack, Israel was caught trying to set up a fake al Qaeda cell in Palestine. One source reports “Officials from the Palestinian Authority have accused the Israeli spy agency Mossad of setting up a fake al-Qaeda terrorist cell in Gaza. Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat said that Israel had set up the mock cell in order to justify attacks in Palestinian areas. [BBC News - 12/8/2002]”

The Israelis want the US to be on bad terms with all Muslims. The two friendliest Muslim nations for the US today are Egypt and Saudi Arabia. If Israel wanted to ruin US relations with those countries, they would stage a large terrorist attack on the US using disgruntled Saudis and Egyptians.

As it turned out, 15 of the 911 hijackers were Saudis, 4 were Egyptians and 1 was Lebanese.

In the 1950s, the Lavon Affair was exposed. It involved Israeli MOSSAD agents planting bombs at US facilities in Egypt in an attempt to sour US-Egyptian relations. In other words, the Israelis were caught trying to do this before.

In 1967, the Israelis attacked the USS Liberty. The Israelis mass-murdered 34 Americans and wounded over 180 Americans on board that ship. The Israelis jammed five out of six communication frequencies and only stopped their attack after planes from a US aircraft carrier were ordered out to protect the Liberty. The Israelis wanted to sink the Liberty with no survivors and then blame the sinking on the Egyptians. The 911 attack benefited Israel more than any other nation and the MOSSAD has a history of “false flag” black operations. (more…)

In this way, they have promoted the ‘multicultural and multiracial’ policy of Third World immigration and ‘anti-racism’ for so long, that they have nearly succeeded in demonizing even the slightest opposition to such policies.

The Independent Television (ITV) network is divided into fourteen regions, all of which are controlled by two Jewish-controlled companies, Carlton Communications plc and Granada plc. Carlton controls Central, London, West Country, and HTV Wales and West: while Granada controls Anglia, Border, Granada, London Weekend, Meridian, Tyne Tees, and Yorkshire. The Jew Michael Green heads up Carlton Communications plc., and the Jew Steve Morrison heads up Granada plc.

Carlton Channels division also includes 50% of London News Network, 25% of GMTV and 20% of Independent Television News (ITN). Carlton Productions is a major producer for ITV, producing drama, entertainment, factual, comedy, and children’s titles, investing over £200m a year in producing new television programs for ITV, BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5 and digital channels. It includes the producer Planet 24, responsible for Gay Time TV, and the supplier of game show formats Action Time. Carlton International controls and sells a library of 2,000 films and 18,000 hours of television programs to over 100 countries. Carlton America produces seventeen films for television each year. Green is also Director of ITN, which provides the news for the ITV network, of GMTV Limited and of Thomson multimedia in France. He is also Chairman of the Media Trust.

Granada plc. owns seven of the ITV stations: Anglia, Border, Granada, London Weekend, Meridian, Tyne Tees and Yorkshire. It broadcasts to 60% of Britain’s homes. Its other ITV investments are ITN (20%), GMTV (25%), London News Network (50%), and the Scottish Media Group (18.1%), which controls Grampian, and Scottish. Granada Creative produces nearly 9000 hours of original television programs and films per year, which it sells to more than 120 countries. It made 60 % of the ITV Network’s original programs in 2000.

Managing Director of this formally state-owned broadcaster is the Jew Tony Cohen. The Jew Alan Yentob is Director of Drama, Entertainment, and Children’s Program for all of BBC television. Formerly, Yentob was Director of Television from 1997 to 2000, and before that, Director of Programs.

Ban on Political Junkets to Israel Deals Blow to Lobbying Efforts

Washington - In a challenge to one of the most powerful lobbying tactics used by the Jewish community, a county in Maryland decided last week that local legislators could no longer go on sponsored trips to Israel.

Montgomery County’s ethics commission decided last month that council members are prohibited from traveling at the expense of the local Jewish community, even when funding is indirectly provided by a private foundation. A trip planned months in advance was subsequently canceled.

“We were stunned by the commission’s decision,” said Ron Halber, executive director of the Greater Washington Jewish Community Relations Council, which organized the trip.

In an e-mail to a Montgomery County legislator, the ethics commission wrote that “the routing of monies through a lobbyist organization to provide travel services makes the gift unacceptable.”

The decision has such weight because sponsored trips to Israel are widely used by Jewish groups both nationally and locally to build support for Israel among non-Jewish leaders and to cultivate one-to-one relationships between American and Israeli leaders. On a national level, the trips have recently come under scrutiny amid the scandals surrounding Washington lobbyists and their relationships with lawmakers. The Montgomery County decision now brings the dilemma to the local level, as communities face the need to adjust to the changing winds in Washington and growing concerns about the power of lobbyists.
