So Who’s Afraid of the Israel Lobby?

The only thing I would disagree with McGovern on is his contention that one of the reasons for the attack on Iraq was for oil. This lie is simply one of the deceptions the Jewish extremists use to suggest that it was somehow in the American interest to attack Iraq. It is a lie just as we know that the “weapons of mass destruction” allegations were lies meant to scare the American people into supporting the war. We don’t need American bases in Iraq to get oil anymore than we need American bases in 40 other countries where we purchase oil. Saddam Hussein was an American ally who we had provided with massive amounts of weapons. He wanted to be our friend and was willing to sell Iraq’s oil to us at less than the world market price. Unlike Israel in the terrorist attack on the USS Liberty and the Lavon Affair, Saddam never attacked us. We made him our enemy for one reason and one reason only: the Zionists viewed him as their enemy so he became ours. Because of the Zionist influence over our government and media we now have the catastrophe of the Iraq War: thousands of American dead, tens of thousands maimed and wounded, hundreds of thousands facing psychological problems, tens of thousands of broken families, hundreds of billions of dollars of American tax money and trillions more to come, a million dead Iraqi men, women and children; and vastly more hatred and an increased threat of terrorism against America.

A week ago, I wrote an article listing the many reasons why an early advertising campaign would benefit Ron Paul. How Ron Paul needed to break through the mainstream media black out and the biased coverage and go directly to the American people. I suggested running a few short commercials late at night as an experiment. Well, we no longer have that option. The neocons have made a calculated political move, which will affect only Ron Paul. They are closing primaries in many states so that only people, who have registered as Republicans by October 12th, will be able to vote.

If this were a chess game, the neocons have just put our king in check. We must come up with a good response immediately to stay in the game.

The Ron Paul campaign MUST start running ads, which introduce Paul to the vast American audience and which also WARN Americans that their opportunity to vote for the only viable anti-war candidate is rapidly slipping away. That they must register as Republican by October 12th or their votes won’t count for anything this election.

This is an emergency situation. A nation-wide commercial campaign needs to be started immediately. The first commercial should be thrown together in an hour and broadcast within 24 hours. Just show Ron Paul shaking hands with Ronald Reagan and crowds of people waving Ron Paul signs and the audio would say:

“If elected Ron Paul will end the Iraq War as soon as possible. Ron Paul will enforce immigration laws and end the ‘anchor baby’ loophole.

If you want our troops out of Iraq, then register Republican by Oct. 12th and vote for Ron Paul in the Republican primary.”

Hate Bill Manipulators Should Come Clean

Recently, I have explained how the evidence indicates that new right leaders and Republican Senators conspired to help the hate bill pass. Except for Orrin Hatch, Senators remained silent for days on the floor of the Senate, shunning many opportunities to speak out against the hate bill. At www.truthtellers.org I document how for nearly a week prior to hate bill passage, no major new right watchdog group effectively motivated its supporters to defeat the hate bill through calls to Senators. ¹

Yet some could ask: “So what if the hate bill passed? It was for a good cause, to give President Bush the opportunity to veto it and thus bolster his prestige and that of Republicans in their efforts to thwart the evil Democrats. Why weaken peoples’ confidence in new right leadership just when we all need to pull together against hate crimes legislation?”

I must speak out because no movement, masking lies and deception, can overcome evil as diabolical as hate laws. Often, virtually alone, our National Prayer Network was instrumental in defeating the hate bill. In 2002, 2004, 2005, and 2006 defeat of the hate bill came not because of clever strategies and numbers but because God fought for America , causing confusion in the hate bill ranks. This past week, however, Christian/conservative leaders resorted to a “brilliant” scheme that required doing the opposite of what they had promised their supporters. As a result, they went into folly, helping freedom’s enemies. In contrast, the pro-hate bill forces had perfect clarity and vigor.

With the defense authorization bill two months overdue, President Bush is under extreme pressure not to honor his August 4 promise to send the arms bill and the attached hate crimes bill back to the Senate. Debate and deliberations over removal of the hate bill could occupy weeks, seriously delaying vital supplies to our troops in Iraq . Be assured that pro-hate bill, anti-war Democrats will delay removal of the hate crimes amendment as long as possible.

Only a Psychopath Would Approve Atomic Genocide of Iranian People

Bush’s inner circle has decided for “the Great Decider” that he does not want to leave office without having a “Mission Accomplished in Iran” photo op. Pentagon bureaucrats have mapped out 2,000 targets in Iran to be bombed.

A bonus, they hope, would be the killing or injuring of Iran’s gutsy president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, considered a no-compromise enemy of Israel.

A group of retired military officers urged war against Iran at a conference in Washington sponsored by the Iran Policy Committee. Saber-rattlers included Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely, Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney and Navy Capt. Chuck Nash.

To everyone’s surprise, Admiral William Fallon, chief of the Central Command (CENTCOM), has been the lone hero preventing, so far, a disastrous attack on Iran. Fallon, who realizes that American military action against Iran would hurt America more than Iran and wants to bring American troops home as soon as possible, vowed that there would be no war against Iran on his watch. Inspired by this 35-year Navy veteran, patriotic Pentagon and CIA officers - foreseeing a debacle far worse than Americas experiencing in Iraq - are leaking the news that the White House has begun a carefully calibrated program of escalation leading to war with Iran.

A senior intelligence officer said to watch for stories of “Iranian meddling” in Iraq to soften up public opinion for U.S. attacks on Iran. (more…)

Ron Paul Raises Over 5 Million Dollars!!

Ron Paul has raised five million dollars in the third quarter. This is a 114 percent increase over the amount raised in the second quarter. Ron Paul is the only major Republican candidate, who has increased his fund-raising from the second quarter to the third quarter. (Fred Thompson wasn’t officially running during the second quarter.)

Ron Paul has won 11 straw polls and placed in the top three in all the straw polls with just a few exceptions. Only Thompson and Romney have come close to Paul’s straw poll successes.

Most of the “celebrity” candidates got a big rush of donations at the start of their campaign. McCain got a big pile of money at the start and his donations have been dropping off ever since. Giuliani got a HUGE pile of donations early on and his fund-raising has been dropping off.

Romney didn’t have the celebrity status of McCain or Giuliani and has had to keep dipping into his bank account to stay in the top tier. His fund raising also dropped badly in the third quarter.

Ron Paul wasn’t that well-known to begin with. He started off with little money and is the only candidate who is INCREASING his ability to raise money while everyone else in the GOP is slipping.

Veteran Removes Illegal Mexican Flag, May Be Charged

A Veteran from Reno, Nev. has hit headlines after he took matters into his own hands yesterday and tore down a Mexican flag that was being illegally flown above a U.S. flag at a local business.

Local news station KRNV News 4 had received calls yesterday afternoon from angry residents complaining about the Mexican flag. When the station sent a reporter to investigate the Veteran took the opportunity to make a statement in front of the cameras.

The man commented “I’m Jim Brossert and I took this flag down in honor of my country with a knife from the United States army. I’m a veteran, I am not going to see this done to my country. if they want to fight us, then they need to be men, and they need to come and fight us, but I want somebody to fight me for this flag. They’re not going to get it back.”

In fact, in the 21 volumes of testimony at the Nuremberg Trials, there is a grand total of 20 minutes of testimony on the alleged crimes at these three camps! Twenty-minutes testimony on the alleged deaths of about two million people.

The Nuremberg testimony on the three camps is by a few uncollaborated witnesses who tell incredibly wild and conflicting stories that strain credibility. Although all the German concentration camps during the war had extensive documentation in Berlin, no document is found about these camps that in any way supports a huge program of mass extermination at them. Nor is there any physical evidence of mass murder at the camps such as thousands of tons of human remains that would be present if allegations of over two million murdered are correct. In late 1945 a Polish judge ordered the area to be dug up to find physical evidence of mass murder for evidence for the Nuremberg Trials, but the excavations found the remains of only a few dozen people. The three leading Democratic presidential candidates — Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Edwards — have all declared no options off the table. This is a clip from last week’s Democratic debate. It was the day the Senate approved a controversial resolution calling on the State Department to designate the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization. At the debate, Democratic presidential hopeful Mike Gravel bitterly criticized Hillary Clinton for voting in favor.

MIKE GRAVEL: This is fantasy land. We’re talking about ending the war. My god, we’re just starting a war right today. There was a vote in the Senate today. Joe Lieberman, who authored the Iraq resolution, has authored another resolution, and it is essentially a fig leaf to let George Bush go to war with Iran. And I want to congratulate Biden for voting against it, Dodd for voting against it, and I’m ashamed of you, Hillary, for voting for it. You’re not going to get another shot at this, because what’s happened, if this war ensues, we invade, and they’re looking for an excuse to do it. And Obama was not even there to vote.

TIM RUSSERT: Senator Clinton, I want to give you a chance to respond.

SEN. HILLARY CLINTON: [laughter]

AMY GOODMAN: That was Hillary Clinton laughing. Fifteen seconds, Seymour Hersh. Your response?

SEYMOUR HERSH: Money. A lot of the Jewish money from New York. Come on, let’s not kid about it. A significant percentage of Jewish money, and many leading American Jews support the Israeli position that Iran is an existential threat. And I think it’s as simple as that. New Revelations in Attack on American Spy Ship

Veterans, documents suggest U.S., Israel didn’t tell full story of deadly ‘67 incident

…Yiftah Spector, the first Israeli pilot to attack the ship, told the Jerusalem Post in 2003 that when he first spotted the Liberty, “I circled it twice and it did not fire on me. My assumption was that it was likely to open fire at me and nevertheless I slowed down and I looked and there was positively no flag.”

But the Liberty crewmen interviewed by the Tribune said the Israeli jets simply appeared and began shooting. They also said the Liberty did not open fire on the planes because it was armed only with four .50-caliber machine guns intended to repel boarders.

“I can’t identify it, but in any case it’s a military ship,” Spector radioed his ground controller, according to a transcript of the Israeli air-to-ground communications published by the Jerusalem Post in 2004.

That transcript, made by a Post reporter who was allowed to listen to what the Israeli Air Force said were tapes of the attacking pilots’ communications, contained only two references to “American” or “Americans,” one at the beginning and the other at the end of the attack.

The first reference occurred at 1:54 p.m. local time, two minutes before the Israeli jets began their first strafing run.

In the Post transcript, a weapons system officer on the ground suddenly blurted out, “What is this? Americans?”

“Where are Americans?” replied one of the air controllers.

The question went unanswered, and it was not asked again.

Twenty minutes later, after the Liberty had been hit repeatedly by machine guns, 30 mm cannon and napalm from the Israelis’ French-built Mirage and Mystere fighter-bombers, the controller directing the attack asked his chief in Tel Aviv to which country the target vessel belonged.

From the European and American media, one can often get the impression that World War II needs to be periodically resurrected to give credibility to financial demands of one specific ethnic group, at the expense of others. The civilian deaths of the war’s losing side are, for the most part, glossed over. Standard historiography of World War II is routinely based on a sharp and polemical distinction between the “ugly” fascists who lost, and the “good” anti-fascists who won, and few scholars are willing to inquire into the gray ambiguity in between. Even as the events of that war become more distant in time, they seemingly become more politically useful and timely as myths.

German military and civilian losses during and especially after World War II are still shrouded by a veil of silence, at least in the mass media, even though an impressive body of scholarly literature exists on that topic. The reasons for this silence, due in large part to academic negligence, are deep rooted and deserve further scholarly inquiry. Why, for instance, are German civilian losses, and particularly the staggering number of postwar losses among ethnic Germans, dealt with so sketchily, if at all, in school history courses? The mass media — television, newspapers, film and magazines — rarely, if ever, look at the fate of the millions of German civilians in central and eastern Europe during and following World War II. Zionist ‘Gorilla’ Now Being Discussed

The long-suppressed topic of inordinate Zionist Jewish influence on American foreign policy is now being openly debated—as it should be. Independent voices that had been condemned for years for daring to talk about the power of the Jewish lobby are now being vindicated.

The release of a “controversial” new book, The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy, by two distinguished foreign policy specialists, John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago and Stephen Walt of Harvard— coming on the heels of a frenzy surrounding former President Jimmy Carter’s candid criticism of that lobby— has sparked not only widespread discussion of the Jewish lobby, but also public consideration of the more important question: “Is America’s special relationship with Israel in America’s best interests?”

The debate has pried open what Leslie Gelb, president emeritus of the Council on Foreign Relations, admitted— in a critical review of the book in The New York Times September 23—is a subject “that many Middle East experts talk about mostly in private.” The Times headlined Gelb’s review with the notation that Mearsheimer and Walt “contend that the Jewish lobby jeopardizes the national security of the United States.”

First launched in 2006 as an academic paper, there was—as the New York-based Jewish newspaper, Forward, noted correctly—little that was new in its pages. Anyone who had been reading American Free Press or who— going back to the 1960s—followed the work of Liberty Lobby, the Washington-based populist institution, knew the facts being reported by the two academics.

Ron Paul Needs Nation-Wide Commercials Now

Ron Paul just added 1.2 million dollars to his campaign chest in an incredible one week fund-raiser. The organizers of the fund-raiser cleverly set up their web page so that it would flash up the names of the latest donors and their home towns. People from all over the nation and US soldiers based all over the world were logging on and sending money to Ron Paul’s campaign. Some people were sending multiple donations just so their name would flash up on the screen additional times so their family and friends could see them donating.

Simultaneous with the highly successful fund-raiser was a straw poll in New Jersey, in which Ron Paul scored 72 percent, giving him 11 first place finishes in straw polls. In an extremely quiet acknowledgment of Ron Paul’s popularity and fund-raising ability, one source reports that the RNC has invited Ron Paul and four other presidential candidates to “a special dinner (on Oct. 16th) to benefit the RNC Presidential Trust, featuring our 2008 Presidential candidates.” This is the first time that anyone in a position of power has admitted that Ron Paul is a top tier presidential candidate. Over the last two months, Ron Paul was repeatedly excluded from events for his anti-war position, which the neocons fear like a vampire fears a crucifix.

Ron Paul is still suffering from a mainstream media news black out and he needs to do something about this immediately. Ron Paul needs to start running commercials to introduce himself to the American public. He could start with some relatively inexpensive late night commercials on Cable TV as an experiment. If the commercials brought in a lot of new people and enough additional donations to pay for themselves, then Paul should expand the commercial campaign and take it to prime time.
