By James Buchanan EURO

First of all, don’t blame Ron Paul’s ten percent finish in Iowa solely on the evangelicals. The reason Huckabee and Romney did so well in Iowa was that they LIED about their position on immigration. The Iowa voters heard several candidates all claiming that they wanted to “secure the borders.” No one challenged Huckabee’s brand new and highly dubious position on immigration or pointed out that his entire previous political history has been in support of Open Borders and Amnesty. With all of the candidates apparently saying the same thing about immigration (that they wanted to “secure the borders”), the people of Iowa then turned to a fellow evangelical, Mike Huckabee.

Last September, I wrote an article suggesting that Ron Paul follow a simple strategy of focusing on the two biggest issues of 2008, ending the Iraq War and Enforcing Immigration Law. I suggested making short, direct commercials that focused on those two key issues and running them nationally.

Instead, the Ron Paul Campaign spent three months running ads in four small primary states. Ron Paul supporters after seeing these ads on youtube, widely condemned the ads as terrible. The Ron Paul campaign -finally- in its last week in Iowa started running an ad that clearly spelt out Ron Paul’s position on illegal immigration –something I suggested doing three months earlier. Unfortunately, clearly stating your position on immigration is only half the battle. You have to expose the other top tier candidates as phonies, who are claiming to be tough on illegals after a career of being for Open Borders.

I suggested running national ads to “sow the seeds” of a Ron Paul Revolution all over America as soon as possible. I mentioned that these ads would pay for themselves with donations from new members recruited by the ads.

Huckabee’s Son Kills Dog, Dad Covers Up

By James Buchanan

There seems to be a new damaging scandal about Mike Huckabee every week. First we found out that Huckabee considers it “un-Christian” to deny state benefits to illegal aliens and that Huckabee’s past remarks indicate he was completely for Open Borders and Amnesty –at least until he did a last minute flip flop and started pretending to be tough on illegals.

Then we found out that Huckabee pressured a parole board to release Wayne DuMond. Huckabee denies this, but then three members of the parole board say he did. And there’s that letter Huckabee wrote to DuMond saying that he wanted DuMond out of prison. Wayne DuMond went on to rape and kill two women in Missouri. Mike Huckabee also handed out pardons and commutations to 1033 other criminals while governor.

The latest scandal involves Huckabee’s son at a Boy Scout camp. A Newsweek article reports “As Mike Huckabee gains in the polls, the former Arkansas governor is finding that his record in office is getting more scrutiny. One issue likely to get attention is his handling of a sensitive family matter: allegations that one of his sons was involved in the hanging of a stray dog at a Boy Scout camp in 1998. The incident led to the dismissal of David Huckabee, then 17, from his job as a counselor at Camp Pioneer in Hatfield, Ark. It also prompted the local prosecuting attorney— bombarded with complaints generated by a national animal-rights group—to write a letter to the Arkansas state police seeking help investigating whether David and another teenager had violated state animal-cruelty laws. The state police never granted the request, and no charges were ever filed.”

By Paul Joseph Watson

Speaking to The Alex Jones Show today, presidential candidate Ron Paul commented on the controversy surrounding his exclusion from a Fox News January 6th presidential forum by encouraging supporters to keep up the pressure on the network to reverse their decision and slamming the network’s claim of being fair and balanced as “beyond a joke”.

“People are outraged and a lot of them are coming to our defense including the Republican Party up there so we haven’t heard the last word about that yet,” said Paul.

The Congressman identified the main reason for his exclusion as Fox News’ fear that he would express strong anti-war opinions, which they see as a “threat” when coming from the most conservative member of the house.

“They have to realize that what the numbers are and if it’s hurting them, if it’s not in their interests I think they’re in a bind, I don’t think they have any easy way out and they dug themselves into this situation so hopefully they wake up and realize that they have to come around to be much more fair and balanced, it’s gone beyond a joke for them to advertise they’re fair and balanced when they’re just the opposite,” said the Congressman.
