Far-Right Gains In Austria Vote

Election results could bring a Nationalist coalition

Austria’s Social Democrats won the most votes in the country’s early election but far-right parties made significant gains, the interior ministry has said.

Preliminary official results from Sunday’s poll show Social Democrats with 29.7% of the vote.

But the country’s two far-right parties made large gains, winning a total vote share of 29% between them.

The BBC’s Bethany Bell in Vienna said that rise in support is the result of protest votes on a variety of issues.

Our correspondent said the resurgent far right can be attributed to a mixture of anti-European Union sentiment, some anti-immigrant positions and a general sense of discontent with the two traditional centrist parties.

The conservative People’s Party, which had been in a faltering coalition with the Social Democrats that collapsed after 18 months, won 25.6%.

Young voters

Interior Minister Maria Fekter said the far-right Freedom Party had won 18.01% of the vote and the Alliance for the Future of Austria had 10.98%.

Our correspondent described the far-right gains as a “slap in the face” to the centrist parties, which suffered their worst results since World War II.

Final results will not be released until 6 October after absentee and postal ballots, making up about 10% of the votes, are counted.

For the first time in an EU country, 16 and 17-year-olds were able to vote. This bloc represented about 200,000 of the 6.3 million-strong electorate. (…Full Article)

Barack Obama responded with outrage to the remarks made Tuesday by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad before the United Nations General Assembly, expressing regret that the quirky little president was even allowed to speak. Obama’s denunciation was mild compared with that of Gov. Sarah Palin, who accused Ahmadinejad of dreaming “of being an agent in a ‘Final Solution’ — the elimination of the Jewish people.” In contrast, “Larry King Live” carried an hourlong interview with Ahmadinejad in which the Iranian was allowed to speak for himself and repeatedly denied any violent intentions. King thus reinforced the trend whereby entertainment television, whether Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show” or King’s own dog-and-pony interview hour, conveys reality-based news while politicians continue to paint inaccurate and even fantastic scenarios that are harmful to U.S. foreign policy.

In his speech, Ahmadinejad said “the American empire … is reaching the end of the road” and accused the U.N. Security Council of allowing “Zionist murders” because of “pressure from a few bullying powers.” Obama issued a statement saying, “I strongly condemn President Ahmadinejad’s outrageous remarks at the United Nations, and am disappointed that he had a platform to air his hateful and anti-Semitic views.” He added, “The threat from Iran’s nuclear program is grave.” Obama then called on his rival in the presidential race, Sen. John McCain, “to join me in supporting a bipartisan bill to increase pressure on the Iranian regime by allowing states and private companies to divest from companies doing business in Iran.” He slammed McCain, saying that the senator was playing partisan politics by declining to join Obama in this divestment campaign.

WaMu Goes Under: Biggest Bank Failure in US History

A New York Times article reports “Washington Mutual, the giant lender that came to symbolize the excesses of the mortgage boom, was seized by federal regulators on Thursday night, in what is by far the largest bank failure in American history. Regulators simultaneously brokered an emergency sale of virtually all of Washington Mutual, the nation’s largest savings and loan to JPMorgan Chase for $1.9 billion, averting another potentially huge taxpayer bill for the rescue of a failing institution. The move came as lawmakers reached a stalemate over the passage of a $700 billion bailout fund designed to help ailing banks, and removed one of America’s most troubled banks from the financial landscape.”

The ongoing subprime crisis was caused by watering down regulations for subprime loans so that more minorities would qualify. The federal government compelled banks to increase subprime loans to Blacks and Latinos. Any bank that refused would be punished. If a bank didn’t make enough minority loans and they needed federal permission to do anything such as open a new bank, their request was promptly denied by the Feds in retaliation.

Since the late 1990s, federal agents have reported systemic communications security breaches at the Department of Justice, FBI, DEA, the State Department, and the White House. Several of the alleged breaches, these agents say, can be traced to two hi-tech communications companies, Verint Inc. (formerly Comverse Infosys), and Amdocs Ltd., that respectively provide major wiretap and phone billing/record-keeping software contracts for the U.S. government. Together, Verint and Amdocs form part of the backbone of the government’s domestic intelligence surveillance technology. Both companies are based in Israel – having arisen to prominence from that country’s cornering of the information technology market – and are heavily funded by the Israeli government, with connections to the Israeli military and Israeli intelligence (both companies have a long history of board memberships dominated by current and former Israeli military and intelligence officers). Verint is considered the world leader in “electronic interception” and hence an ideal private sector candidate for wiretap outsourcing. Amdocs is the world’s largest billing service for telecommunications, with some $2.8 billion in revenues in 2007, offices worldwide, and clients that include the top 25 phone companies in the United States that together handle 90 percent of all call traffic among U.S. residents. The companies’ operations, sources suggest, have been infiltrated by freelance spies exploiting encrypted trapdoors in Verint/Amdocs technology and gathering data on Americans for transfer to Israeli intelligence and other willing customers (particularly organized crime). “The fact of the vulnerability of our telecom backbone is indisputable,” says a high level U.S. intelligence officer who has monitored the fears among federal agents. “How it came to pass, why nothing has been done, who has done what – these are the incendiary questions.” If the allegations are true, the electronic communications gathered up by the NSA and other U.S. intelligence agencies might be falling into the hands of a foreign government. Reviewing the available evidence, Robert David Steele, a former CIA case officer and today one of the foremost international proponents for “public intelligence in the public interest,” tells me that “Israeli penetration of the entire US telecommunications system means that NSA’s warrantless wiretapping actually means Israeli warrantless wiretapping.” (more…)

No Amnesty For Wall Street

At the time of this writing, the U.S. House and Senate are poised to pass a $700 billion bailout to Wall Street. At the behest of President George W. Bush, the U.S. taxpayers are going to be on the hook for what can only be referred to as the biggest fraud in U.S. history.

Virtually our entire financial system is based on an illusion. We spend more than we earn, we consume more than we produce, we borrow more than we save, and we cling to the fantasy that this can go on forever. The glue that holds this crumbling scheme together is a fiat currency known as the Federal Reserve Note, which was created out of thin air by an international banking cartel called the Federal Reserve.

According to Congressman Ron Paul, in the last three years, the Federal Reserve has created over $4 trillion in new money. The result of all this “money-out-of-thin-air” fraud is never-ending inflation. And the more prices rise, the more the dollar collapses. Folks, this is not sustainable.

Already, Bear Stearns was awarded a $29 billion bailout, followed quickly by the bailout of Freddie and Fannie that will cost the taxpayers up to $200 billion. Then the Fed announced the bailout of AIG to the tune of $85 billion. Mind you, AIG is an enormous global entity with assets totaling more than $1.1 trillion. Moreover, the Feds agreed to pump $180 billion into global money markets. And the Treasury Department promised $50 billion to insure the holdings of money market mutual funds for a year. Now, taxpayers are being asked to provide $700 billion to Wall Street. (I hope readers are aware that, not only will American banks be bailed out, but foreign banks will also be bailed out. Then again, at least half of the Federal Reserve is comprised of foreign banks, anyway.) In other words, the Federal Reserve is preparing to spend upwards of $1 trillion or more. Remember again, this is fiat money, meaning it is money printed out of thin air. (more…)

Most Americans view the Indian historical record of resistance to European colonization as morally justifiable, but in the skewed ethics of today, some find European-American attempts to preserve our unique genes and culture from non-European immigration - morally reprehensible. Nevertheless, despite pervasive propaganda promoting multiculturalism and the media-touted joys of diversity, opinion surveys in America show overwhelming opposition to unrestricted immigration. Similar public sentiment holds true in every European nation.

It was not until the 1965 Immigration Act that the U.S. Congress ignored the majority’s wishes and began a policy that discriminated against potential European immigrants, and encouraged massive non-European immigration. From that time forward, the federal government also showed less willingness to enforce our immigration laws and police our borders. These policies resulted in a flood of non-White immigrants, legal and illegal. Immigration and higher non-White birthrates have transformed the American population from almost 90 percent European in the early 1960s to less than 70 percent at the end of the century. The U.S. Census Bureau has predicted that by the middle of the 21st century, well within the lifetime of many reading these words, European Americans will be a minority in the United States. We are already a minority in most of America’s major cities and will soon be outnumbered in California and Texas. Policies similar to those enacted in the U.S. have introduced large numbers of non-Europeans into Canada; Negroes into Britain; North Africans and Asians into France; Turks into Germany; and a potpourri of alien races into Scandinavia, Spain, and Italy. Whenever a Great Bipartisan Consensus is announced, and a compliant media assures everyone that the wondrous actions of our wise leaders are being taken for our own good, you can know with absolute certainty that disaster is about to strike.

The events of the past week are no exception.

The bailout package that is about to be rammed down Congress’ throat is not just economically foolish. It is downright sinister. It makes a mockery of our Constitution, which our leaders should never again bother pretending is still in effect. It promises the American people a never-ending nightmare of ever-greater debt liabilities they will have to shoulder. Two weeks ago, financial analyst Jim Rogers said the bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac made America more communist than China! “This is welfare for the rich,” he said. “This is socialism for the rich. It’s bailing out the financiers, the banks, the Wall Streeters.”

That describes the current bailout package to a T. And we’re being told it’s unavoidable.

The claim that the market caused all this is so staggeringly foolish that only politicians and the media could pretend to believe it. But that has become the conventional wisdom, with the desired result that those responsible for the credit bubble and its predictable consequences - predictable, that is, to those who understand sound, Austrian economics - are being let off the hook. Minority Mortgages Brought Financial Market to Its Knees

The financial commentators and analysts of Wall Street aren’t unaware of what has caused the present economic crisis. The crash started with the collapse of the subprime mortgage market, which is effectively a code word for Blacks and non-White Hispanics. They’re just scared to say it out loud. Fox News recently ran a story more or less admitting this was the case, a long article that spent paragraph after paragraph dancing around the truth.

Subprime loans originally were higher interest loans for people with poor credit. Gradually government pressure was applied to increase the number of minority loans for the sake of political correctness. To make this happen, the quality controls on subprime loans were thrown out one by one. Eventually, people with bad credit histories and who couldn’t make down payments and who verbally stated what their income was (without any proof) were allowed to get home loans. For the first few years these insane procedures went unnoticed because housing prices kept going up. What made it all come crashing down, was the current housing slump. As soon as housing prices dropped millions of mostly Black and Latino subprime lenders walked away from their mortgages. They had nothing to lose because they had made no down payment. They weren’t worried about destroying their credit rating because they already had bad credit ratings.

A recent Fox News article reports “Obviously some sectors of the economy have been doing well, while others, such as housing, have been in a real mess. With the government takeover of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae as well as other bankruptcies in the financial sector, there are a lot of questions. The strangest fact is that the housing sector is having such problems when the economy otherwise has been doing well. Why have there been so many defaults when the economy has not been in a recession? Defaults have been at historically high rates despite reasonable economic growth and a relatively low unemployment rate of 6.1 percent. Some, such as James H. Carr, the CEO of the National Community Reinvestment Coalition, argue that the high default rates are a result of ‘unfair and deceptive practices, steering customers to high price loans… Surprisingly, research done by economists a decade ago in 1998, particularly by Professors Ted Day and Stan Liebowitz at the University of Texas at Dallas, predicted the current problems and tried to warn people of a different cause. Starting during the early 1990s, mortgage-underwriting standards have been consistently weakened…”

A New Evil Leader for THE Evil Country

This past week saw the Israeli Foreign minister, Tzipi Livni, elected by her fellow Likud-niks to take the place of corruption-plagued Ehud Olmert as Prime Minister of Israel. It wasn’t a big surprise — everyone knew it was coming since, like all Zionist Ashkenazi Prime Ministers before, her pedigree for the job is perfect: Terrorism and Spying.

Her father, Eitan Livni (right), was chief operations officer in the Zionist terrorist group Irgun that bombed, shot and actually tortured (yep) British soldiers and Palestinians to clear the way for the Jews to steal Palestine. These people did everything you’ve been propagandized about the “Islamo-Fascist Terrorists,” yet the Jew-manipulated Wikipedia has seen fit to term these Jews ”activists” – like all they ever did was make some kind of big fuss!

Eitan was also closely involved with Menachim Begin in the bombing of the King David Hotel in Jerusalem that killed close to 100 British civil servants, Palestinians and even a few Jews who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The bombers dressed as Arabs to plant the explosives (makes you wonder, huh?). Eitan was once sentenced to 15 years for attacking a British base, but escaped from the British prison at Acre.

Irgun was also responsible for the infamous Deir Yassin massacre in 1948, where they systematically killed over 250 innocent Palestinians, who had made a peace agreement with the Haganah, another Jewish “activist” group. We Created Terror Among the Arabs.

Eitan was born in Poland (definitely a Khazar Zionist) and Tzipi’s mother, Sarah Rosenberg, was also a Irgun Terrorist who once robbed a train while disguised as a pregnant woman. Her little evil gang blew up a few trains as well. What a lovely murder duo they must have made!

The two were the very first married Zionist couple in the newly formed State of Israel in 1948, so Tzipi belongs to Jew royalty. Her father is even buried under a tombstone with a symbol of the Irgun that has a map of “Eretz Ysrael” that includes land on both sides of the Jordan River, i.e. land belonging to the Jordanian people.

But Zippy Livni is no slacker in evil Zionist doings, herself. She was once a MOSSAD agent who took part in the poisoning (how sneaky is that?) of some Iraqi scientist in Paris; her main concern was not to screw it up, by getting caught and embarrassing Israel politically. Night of the Living Debt

Close your eyes and picture your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all alone and scared, in an old, abandoned graveyard. The moon disappears behind one of the gathering storm clouds. Lurching forms begin to emerge from behind tilting gravestones.

A hand emerges from the earth and clutches at one of your children. They all begin screaming and dashing about, desperately seeking safety that does not exist.

Suddenly, one child shrieks in heart-rending agony as, set upon by three moldy corpses, her slender leg is bitten by one. As each child tries to help the other, he or she also is taken to the ground by slimy zombie-like creatures who begin to feed on the tiny forms.

Then you realize that you are one of the zombies, just as you sink your rotten teeth into the warm, gently yielding flesh of your offspring.

Hollywood “B” movie stuff? No. Reality? Not yet, but it’s coming, even if only euphemistically.

Right now, we are eating our children’s financial future, as well as that of their children and their children’s children. We are the zombies.

How can this be? Consider all the financial carnage of the past two weeks, of which you may have heard a glimmer from the controlled media. Every last bit of it is resulting in massive taxpayer bailouts of fat cats and foreign bankers. So massive, in fact, that taxpayers not yet born will be on the hook for their entire lives. Our descendants.

This past week, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson (one of an endless number of government functionaries formerly employed by Goldman Sachs, one of the two remaining investment banks in America) announced yet another bailout of Mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, this time to facilitate the increased purchase of mortgages in the near future. How much? “Hundreds of billions of dollars,” is all that he would admit. This must be added to the $300 billion bailout announced just two weeks ago (ranging up to $1 trillion, in effect, by some estimates). Paulson’s announcement followed a rare meeting including “WhirlyBen” Bernanke, Federal Reserve chairman, and a large number of government and private financial industry functionaries and leaders.

Now, congressional hearings are in progress to rubber stamp Paulson’s demand for $700 billion more to buy any sort of financial “asset,” no matter how worthless, from any sort of financial institution, both American and foreign. (more…)

Iran, the UN and the USS Liberty–Why Israel is Preventing Ahmadinejad from Speaking at the World Body

Well folks, it is time to finally let the cat out of the bag. My co-host of the Liberty Hour radio program (found at www.republicbroadcasting.org) USS Liberty survivor Phil Tourney and I want this story out there just in case anything untoward happens to either (or both) of us as well as making sure that the record is set straight in the event President Ahmadinejhad of Iran is not allowed to speak on the floor of the UN General assembly.

Earlier this week, I released a piece I wrote entitled ‘Killing The Messenger Before He Arrives–The Real Reason For Israel’s Latest Threat To Kidnap Ahmadinejhad’ in which I put forth the theory that the reason Israel is threatening to kidnap Ahmadinejhad and why the US has (at least as of this moment) denied him an entry visa into the US is because he might ‘possibly’ be planning on divulging information ‘so embarrassing’ to Israel and the US that it would prevent them from launching an attack on Iran.

Well the truth of the matter is, we know a lot more about this than the article suggests and the wordcraft I used in the article was me ‘playing dumb’ until I had a better handle on what Israel and the US were planning to do with regards to Ahmadinejhad being allowed to come to the UN. Now, just a few days before he is scheduled to speak he is not being given the opportunity and therefore Phil and I have decided that it is time to strike out with the truth.

The fact is this–There was the very good likelihood Ahmadinejhad was going to discuss Israel’s attack on the USS Liberty on the floor of the UN General Assembly or (per our request) even that he would yield 3 minutes of his time to give USS Liberty survivor Phil Tourney an opportunity to tell the world what Israel did to him and his shipmates 41 years ago.

Phil and I have no doubt that in the 2 months we were putting this thing together that our conversations regarding this were being monitored as well as our emails. As soon as we got word from our contact in Iran (who works closely with the president) that he was very positively disposed towards our request and that he had ordered his staff to assemble as much information on the USS Liberty possible, BOOM!!!–Israel threatens to kidnap him. This, coupled with the US preventing his visa into the US when the request was made months ago cannot be mere coincidence, and anyone who believes Israel is not listening in on every conversation going in and out of Iran needs to come into the 21st century.

Sabra and Shatilla are two Palestinian refugee camps in Beirut, Lebanon where over two thousand Palestinians were massacred during three days in September 1982 by hundreds of Lebanese Phalange and Haddad militiamen with the aid and support of the Israeli Defense Forces.

During the 1982 Israeli invasion into Lebanon and siege of Beirut, U.S. Envoy Phillip Habib managed to have a written agreement whereby Palestinian fighters would leave Lebanon, providing a U.S. guarantee to the safety of Palestinian refugees left behind in the camps.

After Palestinian fighters evacuated Lebanon, the Israeli army sealed off Sabra and Shatilla refugee camps and established a command post at the Kuwaiti embassy, a seven-story building over looking both camps.

Present at the command post were the primary architects of the atrocity: Israeli Defense Minister Ariel Sharon and Chief of Lebanese Forces Intelligence Elie Hobeika, along with high-ranking Israeli army officials.

In the early morning of September 16th, the Israeli army allowed bloodthirsty armed militiamen to enter the camps, provided with weapons, bulldozers, and communication equipment. They were also given hashish and heroin to help them maintain “courage.” For 48 hours, the militia participated in wholesale slaughter and rape. Women and children were not spared. The Israeli army lit the skies over the camps by firing flares during the nights, and also prevented residents of the camp from escaping . A group of refugees who reached the one of the Israeli checkpoints were ordered by soldiers to return back into the camp – even though they told soldiers that people are being slaughtered inside.
