Dr. David Duke — My words to the Czech People:

The actual text of my Lecture to Charles University in Praha

As everyone in the Czech Republic is now aware, I was invited to the Charles University by two professors in May of 2009.  Charles University is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Europe. After word went out of my invitation, Zionists put enormous pressure on the university to cancel the lecture. It was argued that there might be violence because of my speech. Of course, the only violence was that threatened by the Zionists. If the university honored the very principles of freedom it was founded upon the extremist Jews promised bloodshed!  I arrived in Prague only to be informed that the Israeli extremists had succeeded in getting my lecture stopped.

It was not just my own human rights that were violated. The right of the Czech people, the faculty and students were denied their right to hear another point of view. Here is the actual text of my scheduled lecture. You may be the judge of whether I should have had the legal right to deliver it and whether the university students and faculty should have had the right to hear it. As I explain in the lecture, when you suppress the human rights of freedom of speech and conscience, you cannot even personally know for sure what the person is actually advocating. In the old communist-occupied Eastern and Central Europe, the establishment either jailed the dissident or simply told the people what the dissident supposedly believed. The idea was to not let him speak for himself. It is sad to see the Czech Republic slipping back to the lack of freedom of speech that the Czech people suffered under communist occupation and repression. It is not worthy of a free people. Certainly not worthy of the Czech people.

I feel very honored to be in the Czech Republic at one of the greatest universities of the world, Charles University, a university founded on the courageous example of Jan Huss, who gave up his liberty and his very life for the right to speak his conscience to the Czech people.

Thank you for permitting me to speak my conscience and ideas to you, and I think you will find out quickly that my actual beliefs are not what you have been told.

In fact, you may be surprised to find that the chief motivation of my life is the protection and advancement of the most fundamental of human rights for all peoples. And yes, I am not ashamed to say it, I also dare to defend the human rights of the Czech people, of the European and American people.

I believe that every person must have the right of freedom of conscience and speech no matter if I or others agree or disagree with him. Once freedom is curtailed for one human soul it is murdered in the hearts of all men. (more…)

He was released in the middle of the night. Don asked Dr. Duke to tell us what happened to him.

…before I say anything else, I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to so many people who post and read Stormfront and who listen to our radio programs, and to people that read my website, DavidDuke.com, and friends throughout the world. I’ve never received such an outpouring of support and love and I’m so appreciative of that.

I also want to thank, before I make any comments on what happened and on the nature of what happened, to thank the people of the Czech Republic. They’re not responsible for what the state did—what the government did in this case. In fact, it is very interesting to note that the article, and I have a number of newspaper articles from the Czech Republic—and I must tell you that this must be good news to a number of people in America who are not used to somewhat of a free press—is that a great many of the articles in the mainstream media and daily media in the Czech Republic were very supportive of me and my freedom of speech rights.

In fact, one leftist publication ran a complete story on the front page, a complete interview of me in my own words. They didn’t alter a word, I taped the interview. In fact, I’m going to put the taped interview up on DavidDuke.com and you’re welcome to do so on Stormfront. They put all my words out exactly as I said them. If you look at the internet responses in the Czech publications—I don’t speak Czech, but I have a lot of Czech friends obviously, they said that overwhelmingly the people were supportive of my right to be there and even the basic ideas about why I was there.

Now, as far as what happened, it was very simple. I was invited to Charles University to give a lecture. As people know, I’m a PhD and I’ve lectured in over at least three hundred universities in Europe and America. I’ve also spoken in every major country in Europe, in Germany and Austria. And they’re very tough on these laws, by the way. I’ve spoken in Sweden and Denmark—I’ve spoken obviously in Italy, in Spain I’ve had major speeches all over and I have never had a problem in Europe.

I was just shocked, when I got there, we did some sightseeing, we had a very special tour, the people of the Czech Republic treated me very well. In fact, we went to the cathedral on the hill—it’s a beautiful old city, it’s a fantastic city, in fact it’s one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. We went up to the old cathedral, and we walked in and the guides knew who I was and they arranged for a special tour of their cathedral. They brought me into the places the tourists usually aren’t allowed, into the crypts and where the kings are buried and they told me about all those things. They treated me really quite royal in the country and quite well.

Coming down from the castle and the cathedral we came down to a small pub where we were going to get some food and talk with friends, and suddenly about 16 swat-clad police showed up. (more…)

Yes, I am now free, at least temporarily

The outrage by so many Czech citizens and even many in the media after my arrest led the government to release me from my cell in the wee hours of the morning, After about 3 hours sleep I now write these words to you.

The charges, of course, from the beginning are specious. I was invited to the Czech Rep. originally to speak at one of the oldest and most famous universities in Europe, Charles University in Prague. It is also famous for being founded by heroic Czechs like Jan Hus who stood up and told the truth and believed that truth and its pursuit is the most important thing a man can do in his life, even if it costs him his life and freedom. This is the man who is the national hero of the Czech people.

As those who read my material know, I do not seek the suppression of any people, race or religion, but simply believe that Europeans have the human right to preserve our homelands and that our governments should be in the service of our own people and not the International Zionist Global matrix of financial and political power. I am not a man who denies that atrocities took place against Jews in the Second World War, but I argue forcefully that freedom of speech on this or any other issue is a basic human right of all people.

My lectures in the Czech republic were not on the subject of the Holocaust at all, in fact why all the constant attention on this subject by the media, when one considers the fact that Bolshevism killed, tortured and harmed tens of millions more people. I never speak about the Holocaust in Europe other than to say that it is a human rights outrage that people are imprisoned for simply having a differing opinion about an historical event.

I was going to lecture about the Israeli influence over American and European foreign policy and the International Zionist Banking firms that are leading America and the world to financial oblivion, globalist hegemony and unending war.

Now they seek a terrible, catastrophic war with Iran.

That is why extremist Jewish organizations worked to keep my message and ideas from the Czech people and the world.

I am doing tremendous numbers of interviews because of this false imprisonment, so we are reaching literally millions of people here in the Czech Rep. and around the world that I would not have reached otherwise.

I was lucky to have excellent legal representation, but although I am free we must be prepared for any legal challenge against my freedom and the right of Europeans to hear the legitimate ideas that I offer. I certainly am not guilty of any violation of Czech law either in its letter or spirit.

To that end, we need to raise considerable funds for legal defense and I hope that all supporters will take a moment to contribute to that necessity as well as the vital work I endeavor to continue for our people.

Listen up, Folks. Dr. David Duke has been arrested and detained by the Czech Republic police and is falsely accused of the crime of Holocaust denial. Jan Mikulovsky, spokesman for the police states this carries up to a three year sentence. He is falsely accused of promoting “movements seeking suppression of human rights”. David Duke does not suppress human rights, he fights for them. We the people of the world must join together to demand an end to the spread of draconian Orwellian thoughtcrime laws throughout Western nations. We must demand this man’s freedom.

David Duke is a prisoner of conscience. This term, coined by Amnesty International, indicates someone who is “imprisoned because of their race, religion, color, language, sexual orientation, belief, or lifestyle so long as they have not used or advocated violence. It also refers to those who have been imprisoned and/or persecuted for the non-violent expression of their conscientiously-held beliefs.”

David Duke is being held on account of his race, his support for his own race, and for the non-violent expression of his conscientiously-held beliefs. He has never advocated violence–you will not find any of the sort in his books, in any of his writings, on any of his internet radio shows. You will find no such advocating of violence anywhere by Dr. David Duke. If you have been following along for the past eight years of the existence of this website, you will have heard and read on a constant basis that Dr. Duke opposes the use of violence or force. Instead, he fully supports upholding the basic human right of free thought and free speech. Shared ideas move humanity forward; shared truths help keep us from falling backward; shared opinions is the spice promoting tolerance.

Dr. Duke promotes tolerance–towards people around the world who are White. Throughout the entirety of Western nations, White people have been intimidated into silence at our own expense; our tolerance towards others is demanded by them, but it is almost never returned in kind. Western minds have been poisoned by a design of control by governments, the media, education, film, and even artistic forms. We are disallowed everywhere the right to think thoughts that are considered “unpopular”, much less openly express those opinions. The ultimate act of tolerance is the bravery to weather opinions we don’t like. The ultimate intolerance is the establishment of laws against opinions, thoughts, and speech. In other words, throughout the West, we are subjected to laws against our disagreeing with the people who put them there.

Laws against free thought can, have, and do result in genocide. The least of our worries is legal involvement and imprisonment. One only has to recall the history of communist countries to see how over a hundred million citizens can be murdered by their own governments for what they believe. This is what David Duke stands against; this is what he has spent his life defending against. One of the most basic human rights is the right to what we do with our own minds and voices, and every law created against either poses an eventual threat to the lives of millions of people.

Of all people who should understand this, are those people David Duke has defended, the Slavic people, citizens of the Czech Republic. The loss of millions of Slavs by genocide has been forgotten, deliberately erased and dropped down the fiery memory hole, by an increasingly controlled Western society. Today, it’s David Duke. Tomorrow, it is all the rest of us.

In America, John Adams created the Alien and Sedition Acts.

Lincoln suspended habeas corpus during the War Between the States.

Roosevelt placed Japanese-Americans into concentration camps.

Johnson and Nixon used the military and FBI to spy on war protesters and labeled many “subversives”.

Today, like most of Europe, we stand facing another thoughtcrime law that will apprehend American citizens the same way David Duke was arrested today–even on false accusation, let alone an actual voiced opinion.

Such laws create criminals out of innocent people. Such laws even result in their deaths. Such laws eventually result in genocide. The curtailment of basic human rights is never justified.

The police in the Czech Republic are wrong about David Duke–he is a brave defender of human rights, never one to suppress it. We at www.DavidDuke.com implore the good sense of the government of the Czech Republic to free this man, a prisoner of conscience.

Free thought and the voicing of those thoughts is a basic human right that everyone in the world is born with. Laws against them are a design of mass intimidation that, in their worst forms, can kill.

In yet another act of tyranny against a dissident political activist, David Duke has been arrested in Prague. One news article reports “The Czech police arrested David Duke… in Prague today on suspicion of promotion of movements seeking suppression of human rights, Prague police spokesman told CTK… Duke, a U.S. citizen, is suspected of denying or approving of the Nazi genocide and other Nazi crimes. This crime is punishable by up to three years in prison in the Czech Republic. …Duke has visited the Czech Republic in order to promote his book My Awakening.”

These charges illustrate how Jewish-controlled and biased the local Czech government is. David Duke supports a free and open discussion of the Holocaust to get to the truth. Somehow, the Czech authorities have distorted this into “approving of the Nazi genocide and other Nazi crimes.”

Once again someone has been accused of “thought crimes” for telling the truth about certain historical events. A free society would let citizens decide what is the truth. Instead, the most dishonest group of people on earth -politicians- have ordained themselves the final arbiters of truth, and anyone who questions the Holocaust story about six million Jews allegedly being killed in World War Two is committing a “crime” simply by investigating history with an open mind.

Will Beautiful Norway be Snuffed Out?

‘In 2005, 64,000 children were born in Norway of two foreign-born parents, compared to only 13,800 children born to parents of European origin’

The state-owned Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (Norsk rikskringkasting AS) or NRK has broken ranks with the rest of the controlled media in Europe and has openly declared an emergency over the Third World origin of sexual assaults in that country.

In a remarkable broadcast last week, NRK reported that “immigrants from Kurdistan and North Africa” are behind most cases of aggravated sexual assault in Norway.

According to the NRK, police figures from Olso reveal that over the past three years, they have investigated a total of 41 cases of rape in that city. All of these assaults, reports NRK, were carried out by “non-western immigrants to Norway.”

According to the Norwegian police, the rapists terrorising the beautiful white women of Oslo are of “a Kurdish or African background” and all have one thing in common, “namely the use of gross violence.”

How about that.

This news follows an earlier report in the leading Norwegian paper Aftenposten, that 33,000 asylum seekers have arrived in Norway without a passport or ID documents since 2005, and that most of them are still in Norway.

According to the Aftenposten, police say there are “several reasons why a large number of asylum seekers dispose of their ID documents.

“One is that many fear that it may be revealed that they have earlier applied for asylum in other countries.”

Who would have thought?

My Campaign for Justice for John Demjanjuk

John Demjanjuk’s vindication — culminating in his recent reunion with his family in the United States — has special meaning for Jerome Brentar (pictured left). For more than a decade, this deeply religious man of Croatian ancestry and anti-Communist conviction has devoted countless hours of his own time and considerable money from his own pocket to help defend the Ukrainian-American auto worker.This was not the first such case in which Brentar had played an important role. In the earlier case of Frank Walus, Brentar dug up evidence that proved to be of crucial importance in exonerating the Polish-born American.

It was only after a protracted and devastating legal ordeal that Walus, who has gratefully called Brentar “my savior,” was able to establish that he was not a Gestapo murderer of Jews in wartime Poland, as Simon Wiesenthal, the United States government, eleven Jewish “eyewitnesses,” and several newspapers had insisted, but instead had spent the war years as a quiet teenage farm laborer in Germany. Brentar’s dismissal in early September 1988 as national co-chairman of a George Bush presidential campaign organization — after a Jewish weekly paper focused attention on his efforts on behalf of Demjanjuk — made headlines in newspapers around the country, and brought Brentar’s face to national television news broadcasts.

Explained a Bush campaign aide: “We became aware of his [Brentar's] affiliation with the group that supports the defense of John Demjanjuk, and that position is at fundamental odds with the Vice President [Bush] and this campaign. And we took the action based on learning about that today…. We told him [Brentar] that his advocacy on this issue puts him at a fundamental disagreement with the campaign and the Vice President.”

Commenting on his dismissal, Brentar said: “It’s part of a dirty smear campaign that started because I said Demjanjuk is innocent. For that, I’m called a neo-Nazi and an anti-Semitic revisionist.” Brentar also noted: “I could have been an atheist. I could have been a polygamist. “EMERGENCY ALERT!!!”

DEMAND HATE BILL HEARINGS!

On April 9, Rep. Barney Frank said in a press release that Rep. Conyers’ very dangerous hate crimes bill HR 1913 would speed through the House Judiciary next week. National homosexual leaders, quoted in the Washington Blade, April 9, say there will be no hearings.

Rep. Jackson-Lee’s legislative expert told me the Judiciary always holds hearings on important and controversial legislation. This can include at least several days in the Judiciary’s Subcommittee on Crime. Even more time is often allotted in the Judiciary Committee itself. He said fair and adequate hearings would definitely be held for any hate crime bill. If things were as they should be, Conyers’ bill would be delayed for well over a week. Now, Frank says, this very controversial, freedom-threatening legislation may be out of Judiciary by Friday!

All members of Congress should immediately know about Conyers’ under-handed bypass of due process! If Americans call their two Senators and House members in protest first thing Monday, it could seriously weaken the hate bill’s chance of passage. Hearings will slow its progress and educate members of Congress. Of course, most liberal Democrats are used to such chicanery and would go along with Conyers’ subterfuge. Yet some Democrats, whose votes are critical for passage in the House and Senate, will be displeased and made suspicious enough to ask, “If the hate bill is so shaky it can’t be discussed openly in hearings, maybe I should look into it!” When they do, they become prime candidates for hate-bill disillusionment.

Heavy protest must begin at 9am Monday morning. If you live on the west coast, plan to get started at 6am.

1. First, call your two Senators and House member at 1-877-851-6437 toll free or 1-202-225-3121 toll. (If you don’t know their names, the capitol operator will take your zip code and speed you to their offices.) Tell them, “Rep. Barney Frank says the House Judiciary is going to fast-forward Rep. Conyers’ very dangerous hate bill through by the end of next week. This means no hearings. HR 1913 is very dangerous and controversial legislation. It’s unfair and un-American not to allow input. Please demand that Conyers hold hearings.”

2. Come to Truthtellers.org for the names of the House Judiciary members. Call them—especially Democrats. If liberal Judiciary members receive enough flak early Monday, they may pressure Conyers to slow down. He may be convinced of the danger of giving the impression of disregarding the legislative process. The more of us call Judiciary and Congress, the more inappropriate and high-handed will Conyers’ subterfuge appear.

What Kind Of Truth Is It That Needs A Court Order To Be Protected & Believed?

Fredrick Töben after court case on 16 April 2009: “If you believe in something and you want to have that freedom to express your opinions then you should be prepared for sacrifices. Anyone who believes in the Holocaust-Shoah has blood on their hands especially since the State of Israel, during December 2008-January 2009, perpetrated its genocidal action against the Palestinians.” Holocaust-Shoah believers are also making claims that are an expression of hatred against Germans and anything to do with Germans.

In today’s Advertiser, Rabbi Marvin Hier, in relation to the shocking treatment John Demjanjuk received, crowed: “He will face his moment of justice…I don’t have any pity for the fact that he’s 89 because I think of the victims he helped push into the gas chambers, who would have loved to have 89 years.” Gas chambers? Oh, I almost forgot the good Rabbi Hier is allowed to say what he likes about gas chambers without fearing any challenges as to truth-content. But remember that any police officer knows that a murder allegation requires physical evidence, otherwise a case does not develop legs, will not run. Not so when it comes to anyone asserting that during World War two Germans systematically exterminated European Jews in homicidal gas chambers. Anyone can assert that my father was a murderer and I am not allowed to challenge the truth-content of their statement? Just keep an eye on the 9/11 lies and how it’s all falling apart.

Rep. Frank: Judiciary Could Approve Hate Bill Next Week!

Homosexual activist Rep. Barney Frank says the federal hate crimes bill HR 1913 could be approved by the House Judiciary Committee soon after lawmakers return to Congress on April 20.

The Washington Blade, online homosexual news magazine, says, “US Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass), the longest-serving openly gay member of Congress, announced Thursday that the House Judiciary Committee would consider the legislation the week of April 20. He’s expecting the committee to pass the bill and that the House will vote on the bill later this spring.” According to the Blade, Frank says, “I look forward to it being passed and signed by a president who is committed to ending discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.” (April 15, 2009)

The Blade also quotes Joe Solmonese, president of the Human Rights Campaign: “The fact that we now introduced the bill in the House and are set to move in the next few weeks is going to … start this process, and hopefully it’ll be done and on the president’s desk in as expeditious a period as possible.”

Becky Dansky, federal legislative director for the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force, is also hopeful. “We anticipate that things will move very quickly when the House comes back from recess. The committee markup [will be] followed by floor consideration almost immediately.” The Blade concludes, “Solmonese and Dansky said they expected a House floor vote on the legislation later this month or in May, but the timeline was less clear in the U.S. Senate.”

As NPN has predicted, Rep. Conyers’ new bill was designed to be moved very rapidly through Judiciary. It is exactly the same legislation that was passed in the House two years ago; thus, we warned that the House Judiciary, dominated by pro-hate bill liberals, probably would not even hold hearings. This is also the opinion of Solmonese. “As for congressional hearings, Solmonese said they won’t take place in the House and he wasn’t certain about whether any would happen in the Senate. Dansky also said she didn’t think hearings were needed in either chamber of Congress.”

Meanwhile, most major Christian/conservative websites, while opposed to a federal hate crimes bill in general, have not specifically mentioned the existence of Conyers’ bill. (These include Focus on the Family, Family Research Council, Concerned Women for America, American Center for Law and Justice, Liberty Counsel, etc.)!

Homosexual activists are urging people to phone, email and fax Congress in favor of HR 1913. Again, the Blade: “Although passage of the legislation is widely expected, Dansky said supporters of the bill “can’t afford to get lazy.” She said the strategy for passing the bill should involve Hill lobbying and grassroots mobilization.”

My name is Edgar J. Steele.

America is sick. No news there. Like a patient with a fever, America seems dazed and confused. She knows that there is something gravely wrong, but just can’t quite seem to put her finger on the root cause.

We are way past the stage when rest and a little medication will help America’s natural immune system to overcome her problems. As with a severely disease-ravaged body, the time has come for surgery. Just as a ruptured appendix will kill you, so will America’s current malady kill her without radical surgery. We must excise the real problem.

And what, exactly, is the problem, you ask? Easy. Government. Federal government, in particular, though government at all levels has come to be part of the problem. Like a cancer left unchecked, the disease has metastasized to all parts of the body politic.

Today’s “Tea Parties,” held throughout America, merely are a symptom of America’s disease, much as a patient’s lunatic ravings are symptoms of an advanced fever. And, like the lunatic ravings of a fevered patient, these public meetings, protests and outcries will do little good. Petitions? A total waste of time.

Nor will the media do justice to the public protests. The media is part of the disease, you see. It is no accident that flagship newspapers throughout America are running aground and ceasing operations. They lost their way and stopped reporting the news, becoming mere parrots for establishment thinking. Little wonder that we stopped reading them. Less wonder that TV news has become a mere parody of its former self, becoming primarily entertainment for the masses of unfurrowed brows now populating America’s vast wasteland.

However, like a patient slipping in and out of the grip of a mounting fever, there are pockets of lucidity apparent throughout America. The Tea Parties are symptoms of those lucid moments. More substantial, though, is the growing anti-Federal-overreaching sentiment being expressed in state legislatures, best exemplified by Idaho’s recent sovereignty and anti-gun-confiscation legislation. Tax Protest Day Draws Tens of Thousands all over America

A CNN news article reports “Armed with signs reading ‘no taxation without deliberation’ and ’stop bankrupting America,’ tens of thousands of people spent national tax day at organized ‘tea party’ demonstrations across the country, protesting what some view as excessive government spending and bailouts. Crates of tea were dumped into Massachusetts’ Boston Harbor during a ‘tea party’ protest Wednesday.”

People in California had a little extra motivation to show up at protest rallies after six Republican sell outs in the California legislature went along with the Democrats for a two-thirds vote for the largest tax increase for any state in US history. Meanwhile, California spends 13 billion dollars per year on illegal aliens. Apparently kicking out illegal aliens to save money is “off the table” for the crazy liberal socialist government of California, but endlessly raising taxes on White taxpayers is perfectly OK.

Much of the liberal media has no clue what’s going with the tax protests. Many liberal pundits were speculating that these protests were actually right wing racists who don’t like the new Black president. Somehow these liberals just can’t get it through their inch thick skulls that people ARE TAXED TOO MUCH and they’re starting to rebel against oppressive taxation just as the Founding Fathers rebeled.

Many of the tax protesters were calling it a “TEA Party” with “TEA” standing for “Taxed Enough Already.” (more…)

Obama’s Brother Accused of Attempted Sexual Assault of Young British Girl

Ironically, in view of the official adulation with which Obama has recently received in the U.K., the British newspaper News of the World has reported that Barack Obama’s African half brother was recently refused entry into the United Kingdom on the grounds that he attempted a sexual assault against a school girl.

The News of the World reports, “American president Barack Obama’s half brother was refused a visa to enter the UK after being accused of an attempted sex attack on a young British girl. The News of the World can reveal that Kenya-based Samson Obama tried to get into Britain on his way to Washington for his family’s big day, the historic inauguration in January. But eagle-eyed immigration officials at East Midlands Airport, using the latest biometric tests, discovered he was linked to an incident here last November.

News of the World continues: “Details on the hi-tech database revealed that Samson-who manages a mobile phone shop just outside Nairobi -was in fact the same man who was arrested by police in Berkshire after he approached a group of young girls, including a 13 year-old, and allegedly tried to sexually assault one of them. He then followed them into a cafe where he became aggressive and was asked to leave by the owner. That’s when police were called to the scene and Samson was arrested. But he gave officers a false ID – claiming to be Henry Aloo, a genuine refugee and asylum seeker – and supplied his mother’s address in Bracknell.”

This is how many illegal aliens dodge criminal charges. Fortunately, technology is catching up with these Third World criminals.

The article notes “Following Samson’s arrest he was fingerprinted but not formally charged and then left the country. However, all his details were stored on the Home Office’s new database of prints and biometric details. And that’s what finally pinpointed Samson’s link to the world’s most powerful leader-as he attempted to slip back into Britain to visit relatives en route to joining the two million crowd at the swearing-in ceremony.”

Should we even bother to ask A).Why nothing about this appeared in any world media at the time? B).Why it is finally being reported now, three months after the incident, by a British tabloid? Perhaps bringing up a sexual assault by the president’s brother against a little White girl would remind everyone why there is a problem with many African men in White nations. (more…)

Amnesty supporters attack Tancredo event at UNC Chapel Hill

Tonight, I traveled to UNC Chapel Hill to hear retired Congressman Tom Tancredo speak about why he opposes the Dream Act Amnesty and in-state tuition for illegals. His views are representative of the vast majority of Americans on these issues as illustrated by numerous polls.

I never got to hear Congressman Tancredo speak, neither did the thirty plus other people who gathered in room 103 in Bingham Hall.

I was running late to the event, which was to start at 6:30pm. I arrived around 6:45 and as I entered Bingham Hall, I immediately pulled out my video camera to film the conflict between pro-illegal alien protesters and police outside door of the meeting room.

The meeting room had become packed, as protesters filled the seats in the back of the room. Police refused to let anymore protesters enter for safety reasons and when they did that, the pro-illegal alien protesters made physical contact with the officers.

Officers deployed pepper spray and activated a hand held taser, although they did not use it on anyone.

I briefly filmed the altercation and then entered the room to find Congressman Tancredo sitting at the front of the room calmly. Those who had come to hear him speak had dismayed, worried, and agitated looks on their faces because the illegal alien supporters were intent upon trying to disrupt the meeting and prevent him from speaking by shouting obscenities, screaming “racist”, and chanting.

Most of the protesters were younger and many were from the UNC campus Hispanic groups. Among their ranks were some students that had a style of dress and hair styles similar to many of the anarchist groups seen around campuses.

I entered and greeted Tom and then I went to find a seat but found the braying protesters to be highly disrespectful and anti-American in their attempts to suppress free speech in the room. (more…)

On Good Friday, John Demjanjuk, 89 and gravely ill, was ordered deported to Germany to stand trial as an accessory to the murder of 29,000 Jews — at Sobibor camp in Poland.

Sound familiar? It should. It is a re-enactment of the 1986 extradition of John Demjanjuk to Israel to be tried for the murder of 870,000 Jews — at Treblinka camp in Poland.

How many men in the history of this country have been so relentlessly pursued and remorselessly persecuted?

The ordeal of this American Dreyfus began 30 years ago.

In 1979, the Office of Special Investigations (OSI) at Justice, goaded and guided by Yuri Andropov’s KGB, was persuaded that Demjanjuk was “Ivan the Terrible,” a huge, brutal, sadistic guard at Treblinka, who bashed in babies’ heads and slashed off women’s breasts, as he drove hundreds of thousands of Jews into the gas chambers.

Demjanjuk’s defense was simple: I was never at Treblinka.

Yet, a dozen survivors, shown a photo spread, identified him as the beast of Treblinka. In 1986, OSI had him extradited to Israel. In 1988, he was convicted and sentenced to death. The greatest Holocaust monster since Mengele was to be hanged.

His family, friends and lawyers did not give up. They scoured Europe and, in the last days of the Soviet Union, struck pay dirt. In Moscow’s files on Treblinka they discovered a photo of the real “Ivan,” a far bigger, more mature man than the 23-year-old Demjanjuk in 1943.

Ivan Marchenko was positively identified as Ivan the Terrible.

To its eternal credit, Israel’s Supreme Court threw aside the verdict and stopped Demjanjuk from being the first man hanged in Jerusalem since Adolf Eichmann in 1961.

A humiliated OSI, through its Israeli friends, now asked the court to authorize a new trial, charging Demjanjuk with having been a guard at Sobibor — during the same time they previously charged he had been at Treblinka.

What OSI was admitting was that its case against Demjanjuk, to see him hang from the gallows as “Ivan the Terrible,” had been based on flimsy or falsified evidence and worthless or perjured testimony.

Replied the court, we don’t do double jeopardy here in Israel. (more…)
