Day FOUR
of our Fundraiser to publish the new edition of My Awakening
Today someone send my office a contribution in the mail accompanied by these words:
In my entire life of 65 years I have never read a book that affected me as much as My Awakening. It put into words, documentation, fact and reason things I had known but never knew why. It led me to many new revelations.
It inspired me to take action, and for the past two years I have done something every day to advance the message of this book. T
here is no book that comes close to My Awakening to showing the world as it really is and the driving reality in human relations: race. In a brilliant fashion it strikes a chord, a personal connection between author and reader, and step by step, in a simply irrefutable way, leads the reader on a journey of your discoveries and now their own. It even voices objections that could crop up in the reader’s mind and then deals powerfully with the challenges. It gives the foundations of race, goes into the ultimate taboo, the Jewish Question, and then ties the Jewish issue back in the whole fabric as fundamentally a racial dynamic.
Finally, it ties the truth with your own inspiring story, and in your story you not only give practicality to truth, you grip the reader, me included, with passion. Just the chapter on your encounter with the starving Indian little girl and your reflections about it, or the letter you wrote to a young activist, was worth the price of a hundred of your books. For how can I put a value on how you have awakened me and made my view of the world so clear. You have taken me to the darkest cavern of racial and ethnic oblivion and then raised me to highest mountain of idealism and vision.
I was planning on buying an IPhone this week, but that can wait, and if you need more after I get my next paycheck on December 10, let me know. We cannot, I repeat, cannot let this book stay out of print for another day!
You are welcome to publish my name if you like. I am proud of my support of you and My Awakening, for My Awakening is really the awakening of us all!
