It’s after 2 a.m. in the morning, my deadline is tomorrow, and I have been beaten up by the local police and my right elbow is sorely hurting, but I need to write down exactly what happened to me today before I go to sleep. Otherwise I will forget important details.

I was harassed, beaten, and shocked with a Tazer-like gun in my front yard before my wife and children, and then abused for 6 hours by the ADL-trained local police. I have every reason to believe it is because of my journalistic investigation into 9/11. I have been threatened before in my career as a journalist, but this is the first time I have been intentionally beaten and abused – by the cops.

I have investigated 9/11 since it happened and looked into the many unanswered questions of the terror attacks. I discovered last year that I had had at least two FBI informants crawling around my house for years. This is the main reason I do not feel safe in the United States. It is also why I spend much of the time in Europe or at safe houses in this country, with fellow 9/11 researchers like Ellen Mariani and Eric Hufschmid. I have two small children.

I have only been at my old home in Hoffman Estates for a couple of weeks, mainly because my road-weary children dearly love this old red house, which is the only home they have ever known. It is just a simple Hoffman-Rosner suburban Chicago tract home that my late parents bought in 1957, but it’s home.

I had noticed an unusual amount of police activity around my house since I returned. We live on a quiet side street where one might normally see a police cruiser once or twice a week. Since I returned I have noticed all kinds of police cars and devices in the immediate proximity of my house.

But yesterday there was something very unusual around my house. It was an unmarked car with three armed men with body armor driving around my block as I rode my bike to the store. Who in the heck is that? I thought to myself. It looks like they are going to my house, but I won’t be there, I thought.

Then today, the same time and the same car with three men passed slowly by my house where the neighborhood kids were playing. “Hello, FBI,” I said from my porch and waved.

The man in the front passenger seat waved back. I immediately alerted my wife and kids. Helje said I should stop them and ask them what they want.

For background, today I was working on two rather big stories and I made a lot of phone calls to the Embassy of Israel, the S.E.C., the office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, and to an old Israeli living in New York who I have suspicions may be a key player in 9/11. I’d like to discuss this lead but I can’t at this point.

All of my calls were about 9/11 related, except for the calls to the Embassy and local consulate of Israel. These were standard journalistic inquiries about Israel casualties and losses in Lebanon. The Embassy press department didn’t like my questions, but I told them it’s my job. I wanted to know about the number of dead and wounded and if 60 Merkava tanks had been taken out, as Hezbollah claims.

Then I also asked where exactly the two Israeli soldiers had been abducted. I told them that there were at least 15 newswire stories that said the soldiers had been captured in the Lebanese village of Aitaa al-Shaab – inside Lebanon. He was surprised to hear that, too.

Apart from my un-disclosable investigation, the other calls were about how Jacob “Kobi” Alexander was able to flee with more than $60 million dollars last week, several months after it was public knowledge that he and the other Israelis working with Comverse Technology, Ltd. had swindled hundred of millions through fraudulent stock options trades. This has been going on for years, and The Wall Street Journal and Globes (Israel) reported the names and the amounts last March. For crying out loud, my newspaper, American Free Press, reported it in April 2005.

I wanted to know from the SEC and the U.S. Attorney’s office how this Kobi Alexander was able to wire $60 million to his account in Israel and flee New York without any body stopping him. “If I wired $5 million to Norway the whole NSA and FBI would be all over me,” I said.

The U.S. Attorney’s office said they “expect” Kobi will turn himself in. Note to the wise: Don’t count on it.

Kobi Alexander was one of the owners and developers of Odigo software which allowed Israelis to communicate instantly on 9/11. It was via the “buddy system” on Odigo software, which allows one to communicate to a large group of people that share a trait, such as the Hebrew language, that thousands of Israelis were warned not to go to the twin towers on 9/11.

Kobi Alexander’s Mossad-linked company, Comverse Technology, was a developer and owner of Odigo since early 2000, something The New York Times does not consider to be part of “All the News that’s Fit to Print.” Comverse makes a black box system called the “Audio Disk” that police, intelligence and security agencies, and governments around the world, have attached to their phone networks. This simple device allows the Israeli employees of Comverse back in Tel Aviv to hear and intercept all the data being exchanged by these naive agencies…everything.

I had finished all of my calls and watched the first part of the Lou Dobb’s news program on CNN and was on my way to the store, when I stepped out on the stoop and saw this threatening dark car full of obvious agents of some sort. I immediately warned my wife and kids and rode the bike to the store.

Something is not right, I said to myself, and I stopped at the local wine shop and asked to use the phone. I called 911 and told them that a strange car with armed men is driving around my neighborhood for no apparent reason. I was told that a police car would meet me at my house in 20 minutes.

I was just in my house a few minutes when the very same suspicious car stopped in front of my house and three armor-clad men stood on my driveway. I had just been calling the police department and put down the phone. I was more than a little surprised to see these armor-clad thugs on my driveway.

My wife and 8-year old daughter were already there and I asked these men who they were and why they were harassing my street. Why are you driving around with this unmarked car around my house, I asked? Who are you, anyway? They were not at all willing to identify themselves and were very confrontational, to say the least.

I ran to my front door to call my brother when the three of them tackled me and shocked me with some sort of stun-gun. The three men then sat on me and pushed my face in the dirt, handcuffed me and put me in their car.

Remember, I had called 911 because of a suspicious car in my neighborhood, a neighborhood I have known since 1957, when my parents helped found this town.

I have two small children, after all, and this car looked very threatening to me. This is what I call my normal neighborhood obligations, but I discovered that they are actually watching us. They even joked about it at the station later. “We are watching you,” they said.

It should be noted that my neighborhood does not have any crime or gangs or anything of that nature that would warrant an undercover squad to patrol around my house day after day. This is why it is so suspicious. And why are they patrolling around my house?

As they pummeled me, my wife was pleading for me and my daughter was crying. I really wanted my brother, my neighbors, and my son to come help me but before even one minute had passed there were dozens of cops and firemen in my front yard.

Where did they all come from so quickly? How were so many police in my neighborhood at the same time? This is most unusual, as Hoffman Estates is spread out all over northwest Cook County, but there were at least 5 squad cars and at least 10 officers in my front yard within one minute of my being beaten up on my lawn.

Sitting in the squad car with handcuffs on is when the private abuse began. Officer Fitzgerald indulged in offending me, my late mother, a village pioneer, and then threatened to beat me.

When another officer came to the car, he told me that this guy was going to beat the —- out of me. When I repeated what he said word for word, he would say, “I didn’t say that.”

He then started to drive me to the station, which is about three miles away from the old village center where I live. Bombarded with continuous verbal abuse, when I would say something from the back-seat he would slam on the brakes so that my head hit the plexi-glass separation window. Typical Chicago cop torture treatment; rough the guy up on the way to the station. This is exactly the kind of thing that I ran against when I ran for mayor of this town in 2001.

I decided to lean back on the seat and not say another word.

When we got to the station, there was a host of white-gloved cops waiting for me in the police garage. When Officer Fitzgerald drove in to the garage, he told the 10-12 waiting cops: “He says cops are a bunch of ……….. You can take care of him now.”

When they took me out, I informed them that I am a journalist and will write about their treatment. The verbal abuse now came from all sides. They told me I should get out of town, etc. I told them that my dear parents had founded Hoffman Estates, but they didn’t care.

When I was in the station they forcibly stripped off my belt and tore of my shirt leaving me clad only in shorts and undershirt. I asked why I was being detained and they told me that I had resisted arrest and threatened the police with my fists, two complete lies.

I was never the subject of any arrest. I had called to police to report a suspicious vehicle driving around my home!

I was thrown into a cell with no water. I asked for a drink of water and was told, “Drink from the toilet.”

Why am I being treated this way, I wondered?

At midnight, an officer came to my cell and asked if I could pay $100 to get out. What I am being charged with, I asked? I called the police and they beat me up in my front yard, I protested.

What did I do to deserve that?

My older brother had posted bail and shortly after midnight, I was pushed out onto the street with a good two-mile walk home.

I am shocked at how I was treated, because although my journalism gets me into trouble with police in many places, I have never been treated so brutally in my life. I honestly believe this brutal treatment is connected to my 9/11 research.

I intend to seek asylum in Norway or Switzerland. I can read the writing on the wall.

Investigative journalists are not safe in Iraq – or the United States.

On tonight’s live broadcast, Michael Collins Piper described the assault on his colleague, Christopher Bollyn who—like Piper—is both a correspondent for American Free Press newspaper (see www.AmericanFreePress.net) and a host on the Republic Broadcasting Network (at www.rbnlive.com). Bollyn had spotted a mysterious vehicle constantly passing by his home in a quiet neighborhood in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and called the police. To his shock, after being told a police car would be coming to his home, he was greeted by the very mysterious vehicle and the three armor-clad individuals who were in that vehicle. They refused to identify themselves and when Bollyn indicated that he was going to go back into his home to have his brother (inside the house) call the police, the armor-clad individuals tackled him to the ground and arrested him. Bollyn was later released from jail on a bond, following six hours of harassment and interrogation. Word about the attack on Bollyn, in the presence of his wife and 8 year old daughter, spread around the world via the Internet. The police department has claimed that Bollyn’s home was under surveillance as part of work by a gang surveillance unit. In reponse to this, Michael Collins Piper points out that, over the past several years, the Anti-Defamation league (ADL) of B’nai B’rith—a private spy organization that masquerades as a “respected Jewish community organization”—has been issuing press releases and providing local police departments with “information” attempting to link critics of Israel with “terrorist groups” and “gangs.” This has provoked otherwise decent law enforcement officials into targeting law-abiding citizens (such as Christopher Bollyn), thinking that they (the police) were keeping watch on a potentially dangerous individual with ties to “terrorists” and “gangs” (such as so-called “white racist skinheads”). Piper noted that several years ago, when Bollyn hosted him (Piper) in Chicago, Piper learned froma Shaumburg Illinois police officer that the ADL had tipped off the local police that a “top Nazi” (Piper!) was coming to town and that there could be violence. This prompted the Shaumburg police to add on extra police officers just in case Piper and “his followers” (as the ADL described Shaumburg citizens who were interested in hearing about Piper’s writings on the JFK assassination) engaged in any violence. Piper says that he considers anyone who is associated with or supportive of any pro-Israel jewish organizations such as the American Jewish Committee, the Anti-Defamation League, or the American Jewish Congress to be supporting what Piper calls “criminal organizations” that are creating trouble in American neighborhoods and communities, as evidenced by the violent assault on Christopher Bollyn. Piper also noted the SWAT team raid on the home of Willis A. Carto, the attack on the late Gordon Kahl, Nebraska farmer Arthur Kirk, the slaughter of the Branch Davidians, and the murder of Randy Weaver’s wife and son and their family dog. Of the attack on Bollyn, Piper noted pointedly: “The Vatican didn’t instigate it. The Illuminati didn’t do it. The Bohemian Grove gang didn’t do it. The Council on Foreign Relations didn’t do it. Neither did the Trilateral Commission or the Bilderberg group. Instead, it was the work of some of the most respected Jewish community leaders in Chicago, who’ve been targeting Christopher Bollyn for years.”

They did not tell me their names nor showed me their identifications except their shiny police badges. Based on this lie, Hezbollah, branded as a “terrorist” group by Israel, Canada and the United States, stands accused of having started the war. Unfortunately, both Zionist claims are bold-faced lies. The Israeli version, however, which lacks any factual basis to support it, has been trumpeted by every media outlet, including the well-respected journalist Robert Fisk of The Independent (UK). In an article about the recent Israeli massacre of scores of Lebanese women and children sleeping in the basement of a building in Cana of Galilee (Qana, Lebanon), Fisk inserted both Zionist lies as fact: “Hizbollah’s missiles are Iranian-made,” he wrote, “and it was Hizbollah that started this war with its illegal and provocative raid across the border.” (No wonder he got beaten up in Afghanistan.) Initial news reports from international wire services, based on a Lebanese police report, however, clearly indicate that the two Israeli soldiers were not kidnapped at all, but captured - inside Lebanon - after having crossed the border and infiltrated the Lebanese village of Aitaa al-Chaab. Furthermore, these first reports have not been retracted or proven false. Indeed, the story that the Israeli soldiers were captured in Lebanon was reported by a number of leading international press services, including the German news agency (DPA), AFP from France, AP and UPI. This version of events, however, is never mentioned by the Zionist-controlled mass media outlets in the U.S. Deutsche Presse Agentur (DPA), for example, had 10 articles on this matter on July 12-13, 2006. All of them reported that the Israelis had been captured in Lebanon. On July 12, for example, DPA reported from Beirut: “The Lebanese Shiite Hezbollah movement announced Wednesday that its guerrillas have captured two Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon. “Implementing our promise to release the Arab prisoners in Israeli jails, our strugglers have captured at 9:05 am (0605 GMT) two Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon,” a statement by Hezbollah said. “Lebanese police said that the two soldiers were captured as they ‘infiltrated’ into the town of Aitaa al-Chaab inside the Lebanese border,” DPA reported. “There was no immediate confirmation of the Hezbollah claims from any official Israeli source,” the German wire service reported. “An Israeli army spokeswoman however said there was ‘concern’ over the fate of the two soldiers.” If the soldiers had truly been kidnapped while “on patrol” on the Israeli side of the border, this is hardly the response the Israeli army would be putting out. After more than two weeks of intense Israeli bombing and shelling of Lebanon, the nation’s economic infrastructure was reduced to rubble and some 800,000 Lebanese refugees roamed the region looking from shelter. In many cases the refugees’ homes and villages of south Lebanon have been completely destroyed. Where will they live? PRE-PLANNED INVASION “Israel’s military response by air, land and sea” to the provocation was “unfolding according to a plan finalized more than a year ago,” Matthew Kalman wrote in a July 21 article in San Francisco Chronicle. “More than a year ago,” Kalman wrote from Jerusalem about the Lebanon campaign, “a senior Israeli army officer began giving PowerPoint presentations, on an off-the-record basis, to U.S. and other diplomats, journalists and think tanks, setting out the plan for the current operation in revealing detail.” To set the stage, Ehud Olmert, the new Israeli prime minister, commenced his term with extremely violent and relentless terror attacks against the people of the Gaza Strip, which culminated in the fatal artillery strike that destroyed a Palestinian family on the beach. Duraid Al Baik, foreign editor of Gulf News, described the first two months of Olmert’s term “the bloodiest, deadliest and the most criminal period of the 58-year old state of Israel.” Incidents of Israeli state terror, however, are generally not reported as such in U.S. news networks. Even obvious terror attacks committed by Israel, such as the murder of the family on the Gaza beach, are simply not reported as terror and, adding insult to injury, Israel’s nonsensical excuses for such actions are accepted without question by the media. Lie No. 2: The massacre of Cana was caused by Hizbollah, which had fired missiles from the area. On July 30, Israel bombed a 4 story residential building in Cana, which collapsed on top of several dozen people, who had taken shelter in the basement. Most of the victims were the children and women of two extended families. The Israelis and controlled media quickly defended the action saying that Hezbollah had fired missiles from the area. This also turns out to have been a lie. “There were no rocket launches from Qana on the day of the strike,” Ha’aretz (Israel) reported two days after the bombing. “As the Israel Air Force continues to investigate the air strike, questions have been raised over military accounts of the incident,” Ha’aretz reported. “It now appears that the military had no information on rockets launched from the site of the building, or the presence of Hezbollah men at the time. “The Israel Defense Forces had said after the deadly air-strike that many rockets had been launched from Qana. However, it changed its version,” Ha’aretz wrote, “?there were no rocket launches from Qana on the day of the strike.” A WAR CRIME Human Rights Watch (HRW) accused the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) of committing a war crime in Cana and treating southern Lebanon as a “free-fire zone.” It said the failure to distinguish between civilians and combatants is a war crime and asked the United Nations to investigate Israel’s serious violations of international law. “The Israeli military seems to consider anyone left in the area a combatant who is fair game for attack,” said Kenneth Roth, executive director of HRW. “Such consistent failure to distinguish combatants and civilians is a war crime.” Louise Arbour, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, said that Israel’s shelling of cities was an “unacceptable targeting of civilians,” and stressed that international law demands accountability. Roth said responsibility for Cana rested “squarely with the Israeli military.” “Just because the Israeli military warned the civilians of Cana to leave does not give it carte blanche to blindly attack,” Roth said. “It still must make every possible effort to target only genuine combatants.” Lie No. 3: Israel does not target civilians or ambulances. The fact that some 800 Lebanese civilians were killed during the first three weeks of the Israeli onslaught and that some 20,000 were killed in Israel’s previous invasion in 1982 exposes the falsity of this shameless lie. There are specific well-known incidents, such as the targeting of Red Cross ambulances, which expose this bold-faced Zionist lie. That Israel targets ambulances is obvious from the images seen on television news reports showing Lebanese ambulances pierced by Israeli missiles exactly in the center of the red cross painted on the roof. As Fisk noted in a recent article, “Israeli missiles had clearly pierced the very centre of the red cross on the roof of each ambulance.” “All the crews were injured,” Fisk wrote, asking the obvious: “Did the pilots use the cross as their aiming point?” Lie No. 4: “Israel would never target a UN force.” After Israeli bombs struck the UN observation station at Khiam in Lebanon, killing four international observers, Israel’s Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni denied that the bombing had been deliberate as the UN Secretary General suggested. “Israel would never target a UN force,” Livni said. “It is not part of our policies; it is not part of our values.” Livni’s statement is another bold-faced lie. Israel has often targeted UN bases, including several in the days before the station at Khiam was hit. Apart from the recent murder of 4 UN observers, the most egregious Israeli atrocity committed against a UN base occurred on April 18, 1996, during the Israeli “Grapes of Wrath” aggression against Lebanon, when prime minister Shimon Peres (now vice premier) ordered the precision-guided artillery shelling of the FIJIBATT UN base at Cana, in which hundreds of Lebanese had sought shelter. More than 106 Lebanese civilians, most of them children, were killed in this earlier deliberate Israeli attack on a UN base. “Israel’s slaughter of civilians” during the 1996 Israeli offensive in Lebanon was “so cavalier, so ferocious,” Fisk wrote at the time, “that not a Lebanese will forgive this massacre.” Lie No. 5: Hezbollah is a terrorist organization which Israel is fighting in the “war on terror.” Only three nations, Israel, the United States and Canada, consider Hezbollah, an Islamic resistance group that was created during the first Israeli occupation of Lebanon, to be a terrorist organization. The group’s leader Sayed Hassan Nasrallah has vehemently denied that Hezbollah is a terrorist group. In Lebanon, Europe, Russia, China and across the Arab and Islamic world, Hezbollah is regarded as a legitimate resistance organization. The U.S. government and the Zionist-controlled media use the “terrorist” label in order to de-legitimize popular resistance movements, such as Hezbollah, to Zionist terrorism, expansionism, and hegemony in the region. Bollyn Press Release on Police Assault with Taser Weapon

Christopher Bollyn will meet with the Chief of Police Clint Herdegen and Village Manager Jim Norris at the Village Hall of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, today at 3:30 p.m. The village hall is located at 1900 Hassell Road.

Christopher Bollyn, a journalist with American Free Press of Washington, D.C. and a life-long resident of Hoffman Estates, suffered a brutal and completely unprovoked police assault at his home two days ago.

In a clear incident of police harassment and brutality, Christopher Bollyn was forcibly arrested and shocked with a Taser gun while being held down on his front lawn. The incident occurred on August 15 after Bollyn had made a 911 call reporting a suspicious car with three armed men loitering in the immediate vicinity of his home.

Shortly after the 911 phone call, the same unmarked car showed up in front of the Bollyn house and three armed men approached his house. The armor-clad and well-armed men were not wearing any uniforms, refused to identify themselves, and assumed a hostile and confrontational position from the beginning.

They refused repeated requests to show any police identification or explain why they had circled Bollyn’s residence for the past two days. The confrontational attitude of the un-uniformed and heavily armed men resulted in an unprovoked assault and Bollyn’s brutal arrest.

Contrary to what the police report says, Bollyn was never informed that the car was an undercover police vehicle or its reason for circling his block. The men refused to produce any identification despite repeated requests from the Bollyns.

The police claim that Bollyn was going to get a weapon from the house is a complete fabrication created after the arrest. Bollyn never said or did anything threatening as he stood on his driveway beside his wife and 8-year old daughter.

He clearly said he was going to get his brother to help with the situation. As he turned to his house he was brutally attacked from behind, pinned to the ground by the three un-identified men who held him down and shocked with a Taser weapon as they handcuffed him. Bollyn did not resist the police in any way during the entire incident.

Bollyn considers this incident to be an alarming and egregious abuse of police power by the authorities of Hoffman Estates.

Bollyn has been charged with resisting arrest and aggravated assault and will appear in court on September 13, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at the Circuit Court of Cook County at 2121 Euclid Avenue in Rolling Meadows. He is to appear at Branch No. 3 in Room 102.

All supporters, media, and victims of police brutality are encouraged to attend. This is an important case that deserves a fair hearing.
