Democrats’ favorite Republican piles up wins in major GOP primaries
Black Tuesday for Patriots: McCain Wins Big
The ignorant and/or the Diebold machines decide the Super Tuesday primaries
By James Buchanan – EURO
Imagine a truly great American like Thomas Jefferson being reincarnated, and then imagine him running in a primary against the political equivalent of FDR and Bill Clinton posing as Republicans. Then imagine Thomas Jefferson losing to two of the worst politicians in American history. Well, if you were watching the election results for the Republican party on Super Tuesday, you don’t have to imagine anything, it was real.
A Reuters article reports “McCain won nine states, including key victories in California and big Northeastern states to take a daunting lead in the Republican race. He captured a huge haul of delegates who select the party’s presidential nominee, in part because many of the 21 Republican contests were winner-take-all. Republican rivals Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee kept their hopes alive and vowed to fight on. Romney won six states and Huckabee won five. ‘Tonight, I think we must get used to the idea that we are the Republican Party frontrunner for the nomination,’ McCain told supporters in Scottsdale, Arizona.”
The best man in the election, Ron Paul has apparently had the worst day with results mostly in the single digits and a few possible second place finishes. The “Amnesty twins” John McCain and Mike Huckabee have reportedly won the day. McCain took New York, California and several other states delivering a crushing defeat to Mitt Romney, who limped home with a total of six mostly small states. Mike Huckabee scored five states, winning a good portion of the South, setting himself up as a likely vice president for McCain.
John McCain pushed an Amnesty Bill for 20 million illegal aliens last June that was nothing less than treasonous. He was the co-author of the Amnesty Bill with drunken arch liberal Senator Ted Kennedy. The Amnesty Bill was stopped by a tidal wave of opposition from ordinary Americans. Opinion polls on the illegal alien issue have shown that well over 80 percent of Americans don’t want an Amnesty for the illegals.
How in the name of sanity could John McCain’s Open Borders past be so thoroughly ignored? In the weeks leading up to Super Tuesday, Rush Limbaugh and all the top conservative talk show hosts have been attacking McCain relentlessly as an “anti-conservative.” Many Republicans were also attacking Mike Huckabee, who has a long liberal track record and who only recently has pretended to be “tough on illegals” in the same way that a chameleon changes its color for survival purposes.
Ron Paul was the best candidate by orders of magnitude. The mainstream media relentlessly denied him media coverage and dismissed his campaign efforts even as his supporters raised $20 million dollars in the fourth quarter of 2007 —more money than any other Republican candidate (not counting money that Romney gave himself).
Mitt Romney was seen by many conservative pundits as the practical alternative to McCain. At least he never co-sponsored an Amnesty Bill for illegals. Unfortunately, the voters never warmed up to Romney. He was seen as too rich and too slick. Many people seemed turned off because Romney’s a Mormon. While people overlooked John F. Kennedy being a Catholic in 1960, apparently the same can’t be said about a Mormon candidate in 2008.
Some patriots argue that “worse is better.” That we need things to get much worse before ordinary Americans wake up. Well, judging from the horrendous GOP front-runner (we’ve just been stuck with) and the Hillary Beast, we definitely have things much worse than any other election in American history.
