Mr. Buchanan will once again be our guest as he promotes his most recent book; Churchill, Hitler, and The Unnecessary War: How Britian Lost Its Empire and the West Lost the World.

This provocative book can be purchased today at bookstores (or online) and is currently climbing the charts of the New York Times Best Seller List. Pat last joined us on The Political Cesspool Radio Program in September 2006 when he appeared to promote State of Emergency.

Patrick Joseph Buchanan earned a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University in 1962. Patrick J. Buchanan (M.A.) was a senior adviser to three American presidents; ran twice for the Republican presidential nomination, in 1992 and 1996; and was the Reform Party candidate in 2000. Mr. Buchanan is the author of nine other books, including the bestsellers Right from the Beginning; A Republic, Not an Empire; and The Death of the West. Patrick Buchanan is a syndicated columnist and founding member of three of America’s foremost public affairs shows: NBC’s The McLaughlin Group and CNN’s The Capital Gang and Crossfire. Sonny Landham declares candidacy for US Senate!

Action movie star Sonny Landham (Predator; 48 Hours) has been a friend of The Political Cesspool Radio Program since 2004, when he came to Memphis and delivered the keynote address for our radio program’s kickoff party. The event drew a standing room only crowd at a local venue and served as the official beginning of this historic show.

Sonny has stayed in close contact ever since, having appeared as our on-air guest numerous times. James Edwards and his wife attended Sonny’s wedding in Kentucky in 2006. Now, he’s running for US Senate!

Mr. Landham made the campaign announcement at a press conference last Wednesday at the Kentucky Capitol in Frankfort. The news was immediately picked up by the Associated Press and the story has now appeared in over 200 newspapers nationwide, including the Chicage Tribune, the New York Daily News, and many others. We spoke with Sonny via telephone yesterday and he confirmed to us his intentions.

In addition to Pat Buchanan, Sonny Landham will also be our guest this Sunday, June 29, as he gives us more details about this courageous bid. As a candidate of the Libertarian Party, Sonny will be challenging Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
