Obama’s Eligibility: What’s Next after Georgia?

The Obama re-election campaign just ran over the equivalent of a land mine in Georgia. The state of Georgia has a new presidential eligibility law, which requires certifiable proof that Obama was a natural born US citizen, and Obama didn’t provide it –even ignoring a subpoena to show up in court.

Most liberals and moderates sincerely believe that Obama is qualified to run for president, but that Obama is just too arrogant to show anyone his birth certificate. In April of 2011, Obama waved to the world a green document that he claimed was his birth certificate, and an absence of criticism from mainstream political pundits convinced many people that the green document was a real long form birth certificate for Obama. Conservatives in SC Concerned about Illegal Aliens Should Vote for Ron Paul

Mitt Romney has failed to get a majority of the votes in either of the first two primaries and he’s scored poorly in the polls. In fact, he’s failed to get even 40 percent of the Republican vote. Now, he’s sailing into South Carolina trailing Newt Gingrich by six percent. There’s a reason 61 to 75 percent of Republicans keep voting against Romney. The Government Wants to Take your “Under-Occupied” Home

An article in the Guardian reports “More than a third of homes in England are ‘under-occupied,’ putting pressure on younger generations as older people remain in their properties for longer, a study has suggested. The Intergenerational Foundation, which released the report, called for tax breaks to encourage older people to downsize.”

And when that doesn’t work, at what point does the left-wing government begin forcibly dragging old people out of their homes and forcing them into “assisted living” facilities where they are warehoused until their Jamaican or disgruntled lesbian orderlies “assist” them to die one night with a pillow over the face, which will free up an “over-occupied” bed for the next senior citizen hustled out of his “under-occupied” house. The Nanny State Gets Worse

An article in the New York Post reports: “Would it bother you to know that the federal Centers for Disease Control had been shown your daughter’s health records to see how she responded to an STD/teen-pregnancy-prevention program? How about if the federal Department of Education and Department of Labor scrutinized your son’s academic performance to see if he should be ‘encouraged’ to leave high school early to learn a trade? Would you think the government was intruding on your territory as a parent?”

“Under regulations the Obama Department of Education released this month, these scenarios could become reality. The department has taken a giant step toward creating a de facto national student database that will track students by their personal information from preschool through career. Although current federal law prohibits this, the department decided to ignore Congress and, in effect, rewrite the law.”

Of course they did. They’re the Obama regime, and the Republicans won’t do their job and insist that the Executive Branch be restricted to the limited authority that the Constitution spells out. (more…)

California, the Insane State

Why don’t the last remaining productive people in California march on Sacramento and tear the legislative buildings down? The incredible governmental waste continues in the face of the state’s current desperate financial straits. Is anybody paying any taxes in California at all any more, or are they all just drawing state salaries of borrowed money?

An article from Bloomberg.com reports: “The chief psychiatrist for California’s overcrowded prison system was paid $838,706 in 2010, more than any other state employee that year, payroll figures released today show. The doctor, whose name wasn’t released, had a salary range of $261,408 to $308,640, according to data released today by California Controller John Chiang. The total compensation was raised by bonuses or payout of unused vacation time, according to the controller’s office.” (more…)

Romney 35 Percent, Ron Paul 25 Percent in New Hampshire

One honest political pundit observed before the New Hampshire primary election that Mitt Romney was expected to win big in New Hampshire and that he really needed to hit it out of the park to impress people. A feeble win by Romney would be almost as bad as a loss.

As it turns out with 25 percent of the vote reporting, Romney has 35 percent and Ron Paul has 25 percent of the vote. (more…)

Iowa Caucus: The Vote Stealing Has Begun

Despite recent polls showing Ron Paul in first or second place and Rick Santorum in a distant third, we are being told that Santorum has shot forward to a virtual tie for first place with Romney despite having little money, few volunteers and extremely poor name recognition. An article from the Atlantic Wire.com reported: “A new poll from Public Policy Polling shows that Ron Paul has taken the lead in the Iowa caucus race, while Newt Gingrich’s support is fading fast.”

Adding to the suspicious results, we’re being told that Romney and Santorum literally finished within a tiny handful of votes. Now how likely is it that Romney and Santorum would finish within eight votes of each other? (more…)

Recently Ron Paul was greeted by an overflow crowd his first day back in Iowa. One news article reports “Ron Paul’s first public event in Iowa since the release of a Des Moines Register poll putting him within striking distance of Mitt Romney was so packed that workers took down a dividing wall at the downtown Marriott’s Salon D ballroom. Supporters as well as national political reporters lined up to cover the action.

” ‘This is almost like a real rally!’ the Texas congressman told the crowd at the event, which had been billed simply as a ‘whistlestop.’ ”

“The Des Moines Register poll, released this weekend, showed Paul 2 percentage points behind former Massachusetts Gov. Romney (22 to 24 percent) in the first-in-the-nation caucus state of Iowa ahead of Tuesday night’s vote. (The poll’s margin of error was plus or minus 4 percent.)
